Gobblers Corner is a lovely studio apartment in St. George with everything you need for vacation. A small well-cared for kitchen and separate bathroom allow for spreading out. An in room washer and dryer makes laundry easy to do. The location is central in St. George. The owner, Susan, is very accommodating and was flexible when our plans changed at the last minute.
I have traveled to Bermuda since 1979 and this was my first stay in St. George. I wanted a quiet and restful destination and that is exactly what I got at Gobblers Corner. As another reviewer put it "it has what you need where you need it". The location is perfect (a stone's throw behind St. Peter's Chapel - a 4 or 5 minute walk to the bus or ferry - in the middle of the UN Heritage Site ). St. George is as beautiful as it is historical. You can rent a motor bike, walk a beach or eat at excellent restaurants without the hassle of the city (Hamilton) or the remoteness of the resorts. The accomodations at Gobblers Corner are great. It is, essentially, a full featured hotel room with a kitchen and a private garden thrown in for a fraction of the cost. Susan, the owner, lives in the adjacent living space but she was very respectful of my privacy but delivered fresh bananas from her garden. If you are looking for an opportunity to experience true Bermuda living, there is no choice but Gobblers Corner. I will return.

Susan was waiting for us on arrival to deliver a very friendly welcome!
Several grocery items were in place to give us a good start to our 2-week holiday.
Everything works as it should and the aprtment, part of Susans home but with a separate access front or main door and the aprtment is very private. We knew that Susan would be available if we needed her but otherwise we were left undisturbed.
It is spotlessly clean and just as described on the various websites.
We hadn't been to Bermuda before, so did not know what to expect.
The Bermudian people - please go and 'mingle' - what a great nation - so friendly and polite...if the UK were like this....
If self-catering, take plenty of food - its expensive to eat in Bermuda with prices roughly twice those of the UK in the local supermarkets.
Eating out ranges between $50 for a drink and a pizza for two to around $110 for a good 2-course meal for two people, with wine.
I cant recommend Gobblers Corner highly enough, not topline luxury but absolutely the best value-for-money we've ever had, considering Bermudian prices.
The island is 'gorgeous', we bought a 3-day bus and ferry ticket to tour around (1 ticket covers both forms of transport) and had a thoroughly good time.
Thank you Susan, Mark & Bernadette x

The apartment is basically a single, large room which is bedroom, living room and kitchen, plus a large bathroom with a shower. There was more than enough space for our needs. There is also a small garden out the back but the weather prevented us from taking advantage of that. Sue, the owner, lives next door and she was always eager to please. It is less that 5 minutes on foot to the center of St George's - shops, bars and restaurants, and the bus stop. St George's is a quaint, unspoiled town and the people on the island are so friendly. This was our first trip to Bermuda, and we'll definitely be back.
I've stayed in May each year for the past 4 years with Brian and Susan whilst on a work trip and my review is long overdue! After staying in hotel rooms all the time it is such a refreshing change to stay in a home and settle in for our stay and make use of all the facilities: full kitchen, laundry, garden area, quiet location, TV and good wifi. It's a short walk into the town of St. George's for the supermarket and pubs/restaurants. Brian and Susan are very accommodating and will help with any questions you may have. If you want to explore the island, as there are no car rentals in Bermuda, I recommend getting a scooter from Oleander Cycles. Have fun!
