Description: Giannis Ristorante Italiano starts it's story in 1984 when Giovanni and Filomena Ferrara opened their first family owned restaurant in down town Oranjestad, Aruba. As one of the first Italian restaurants in Aruba success was very quick to follow, through the years up to now the family has slowly moved from downtown to the new nightlife area in Palm Beach better known as the strip. Gianni's was the beginning of a family of restaurants across the island, always specializing in extraordinary culinary experiences. Today you can still meet some of the family in Gianni's, the Italian side of the Ferrara family originates from Castellamare di Stabia, a small city on the Napoli Coast in Italy. You can find the menu at Gianni's is geared more around Napoli food but as the years have passed and our customer base has grown, we have extended into other regions of Italy to create a more complete Italian experience for our customers. Gianni's is well known for constantly changing towards modern times and better ingredients, always looking to import the freshest and finest quality ingredients to enhance our customer experience. Our motto has always been; try to find the best, enjoy the best, and share it with our guests.

My family and I visited Gianni’s at around 630 without a reservation. We sat at a tabletop in what appeared to be a “kids section” with out 2 teenage daughters. The restaurant continued to increase in traffic via cabs and walk-ins. We had gnocchi, rigatoni, spaghetti and mozzarella sticks. Food was excellent and service was good as they kept the water coming. People watching was fun as they had folks in the restaurant and people visiting shops around the square. If you have rental car they do have free valet parking. It was also interesting to see them prepare and serve there signature dish with the Parmesan bowl at the table. We did not eat it but it was fun to watch.

Helpful, attentive and accommodating wait staff made this a good experience.

Large restaurant looking over to the park at the Hilton across the road. Outside and inside seating.

Decent Caesar salad and good pasta done by flaming the center of a giant wheel of peccorino romano cheese.

Pretty reasonable pricing, as well.

My friends and I went to this restaurant for dinner and even though we had to wait about 30 minutes, it was well worth the wait.

The portions are big, and the food was delicious. I had to veal scallopini and it was extremely tender so that I didn’t even need a knife to cut it. Three of the other people had to veal Parmesan and I had a taste of it and it was delicious and another of our friends had the salmon and it was such a big piece that she couldn’t eat the whole thing so she took it back to the hotel and is going to be eating it over the next few days.

It’s obviously a very popular place, because when we got there it was packed and that’s why we had to wait about a half an hour. Right next-door to the restaurant is a very good gelato place which is a great way to finish the meal with good gelato for dessert.

Everything from the atmosphere to the service to the food was top notch. We arrived without a reservation, but were able to sit outside within 20 minutes - well worth the wait.
My son and I had the pasta cooked in the cheese wheel and my wife had the lobster raviolli. Both dishes were excellent.
They have a nice wine selection with very reasonable prices.
Desserts were excellent and a great way to finish the meal.
I work in NYC quite a bit and would say Gianni's compares with Manhattan Italian restaurants quite well. Of course the outdoor seating and perfect weather of Aruba are quite the advantage

Not much for commercial, touristy places. Having said that, we break the rule every few years.... Gianni’s offers a macaroni dish that is guaranteed to be the KO punch of your night! Eat this cheesy, whiskey infused plate of spaghetti and you’ll know comfort food at its best! Service is great and we recommend a reservation...
