This is a fun place for lunch right on the water at the end of a pier. Can’t ask for a better setting looking out over the water and back towards the high rise hotels. The food is good especially the seafood. Fish sandwich for lunch was great. Burger was fair. No matter as the setting is why you go and nice to be free if the same old hotel food.

A group of us stopped in at the Pelican after an outing on the Jolly Pirate. It was my fiance's Birthday and we had a blast here. Carlos wins the best waiter award and we would definitely party with him any day! It was later in the evening and they even stayed open later for us. The whole staff was very friendly. We had cocktails and appetizers
(grouper was delish) and danced the night away! Thank you for helping to make our trip so much fun! Cassi & Josh

Terrible service... Had a 7 pm reservation...20 min to order and then was told that we were not able to order food off the menu! That the sandwiches were only served until 6pm however, this was not stated on the menus. We were then moved to the bar in front( because apparently they can serve all the food) and told that we would get service immediately. 1 1/2 hour later and still no food. Complained to the manager and he said he would check and never came back. Sent the waiter ( poor guy) Complained and was told now that they have no fries that it was a busy day. I get it but after 1/12 and no food this is crazy. So the food finally came and it was the worst food we had on our entire stay.. We left and the kids didn’t even eat. Off to the market to get pizza rolls and easy Mac. This place has potential. A great view however, they need better service and food. A real disappointment...

Pelican's Nest has been our favorite go to restaurant the last 4x we've vacationed. Actually our last visit we ate there 3x in 1 week! It's that good! This yr on our 1st night was a huge disappointment. It started off good w/the attentive waiter & the shrimp cocktail coming out quickly. Shrimp was fresh, delicious, crisp not soggy. We both ordered the Mahi Mahi because it's the best but this time it came out burnt on the bottom! Literally had to CUT the Mahi & moving the table trying to do so. The rice & veggies were not warm at all. Very disappointed. Eventually the hostess came over to check on us & she offered another meal but by then just wanted to leave. They took the Mahi off the bill, Since it is our favorite we gave it one more try before writing them off. Tried again later during the week & they totally redeemed themselves! The Mahi Mahi was cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious. The hostess said it was an issue with the chef just that particular night. Everyone can have a bad day once in a while right? So happy they're still on our favorite list! Tips- A reservation is needed if after 5pm but they will try to accommodate. Beautiful spot for the sunset right on the water. Ask for a table at the end of the restaurant for the best sunset view. If possible avoid the side tables. Fresh delicious seafood, attentive service but not overbearing. Reasonable comparative prices. Casual island dress nothing fancy. Give them a try you won't be disappointed!

Food was very good (ribs and chicken lunch) was part of an excursion we went on. The only negative thing I can even think of was the ribs were a tad tough.
