Review of Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa

This is our 8th time at Manchebo and the resort always exceeds expectations. Wonderful place. Quite. great food. Only 72 rooms so never a crowd. No need to reserve palapa.
What separates Manchebo from all other resorts in Aruba is quality of the staff. Zero turnover. That’s says a lot. Always a smile and they remember you every year. You build friendships with them as well a guests that come back year after year.
Start up front with the staff that greets you. Andrew out front greets your taxi and start with a smile and welcome back. Majida makes sure your reservation is ok. Shilpa answers all your questions and books your reservationnext year. They reserve 12 months out.
Breakfast and lunch staff. The Fab 5. Anna Maria. Diana. Magdelina. Alejandra and Jean. Cynthia leads the morning crew and Yanika leads the group at lunch.
Yanika is an excellent ambassador for Manchebo. She represents why Manchebo is above all others.
Dinner staff are the best. Led by Stephanie, William, Mikayla and Elton.

Joan takes care of the rooms each day. William leads the hardest working crew putting all the lounges , towels and chair each morning starting at 4:30 and take it all down at 7. Everyday.

This is our second year at the Manchebo. Unlike our younger years where the excitement of all the activities, volume of people, crowded beach and pools, we have settled into this peaceful low-rise paradise. It doesn’t have all the hoopla of the other hotels. It’s wonderfully staffed with friendly faces and excellent service. Four restaurants en site, a chop house, a Japanese restaurant, a breakfast/dinner restaurant, and a fabulous beach bar. There are no drunks!! Very few if any children. Yoga is available to guests every morning in an open beach pavilion and there is a beach spa with a beautifully appointed garden. Everything is understated but lovely. The beach is quiet and there are lots of palabras. Most of the hotel guest are Manchebo repeaters-some for over 20-years. It’s day 10 and I’ve finished my 5th book! So relaxing.
Room tip: Don’t come if you want a rowdy time. This one is for the peaceful folk who love to sit on the beach and read.

From the reservation process to check-out, this was one of the best resort experiences! The front desk staff/concierge are the kindest ever - especially Setchel, Matilde, and Milanyela! They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. The rooms are well-kept - clean, simple aesthetic, and nice amenities (aloe based shampoo, conditioner, and lotion). The beach is beautiful, and we loved that it was quiet and relaxing. The lomi lomi couples massage at the onsite spa was very relaxing! We only ate at Ike's and Pega Pega (went out for meals mostly) - the food is decent. The coffee (Puro) they serve is delicious! As a Queer Latina couple, we definitely stuck out since 99% of the guests are white, European, and older couples. Overall, we really appreciate the kindness and hospitality from all who keep this place beautiful and operating smoothly day in and day out!
Room tip: Splurge for a first-floor beachfront room! Loved walking out to the beach, having coffee on the patio while listening to the waves, and being visited by the iguanas!

We ALWAYS enjoy our stays at Manchebo. Found it in 2016 and have been going back every year except for Covid years. Just got back. Looking forward to next year. Keep up the good work. The staff is very accommodating. It’s located on a really great beach. Plenty of room. Not overcrowded.
