Was a little aprehensive at some of the reviews I saw, but rolled the dice and was very happy with our choice. The staff was helpful and cooperative and Raymond made sure everything was done to perfection. The $200 deposit was used to get meals where Tropicana was connected with and was of respectable quality and service. My wife also used that for a 1st rate deep tissue massage for an hour and she's a massage veteran. Beautiful Eagle Beach was a 3 minute walk away and if you wanted action La Cabana the sister hotel was nuts when you cut through and if you wanted quiet you hung at theTropicana. The place was clean and I did not see 1 bug as some reviews noted. The bottom line is this, if you want to spend $4-500 a night, spend away, at $150 a night this was a great deal and I would go there again.

Now that Tropicana has purchased the old Aruban Resort the place is really starting to look good. The casino is up and running and the rooms are being refreshed -- while waiting for a total renovation which is planned to begin by year end 2012. The staff is friendly and accommodating going out of their way to provide assistance and help with any issue. The pools are wonderful and the beach superb. Genuinely looking forward to returning next year.

Hi- Just returned from a lovely vacation in Aruba. We stayed at the Tropicana Resort - Eagle Beach and were pleasantly suprised. There were a lot of mixed reviews regarding this Resort so I thought I would share mine. The rooms are outdated but kept very clean (they look just like the pictures on their site). The kitchen had everything needed to make small meals especially since Aruba Restaurants are very pricey. The rooms are cleaned everyday and towels are restocked daily as well. The resort was very quiet quite comfortable and there are 2 beautiful pools, 2 jacuzzis and a gym everything is kept very neat. Its a very short walk to Eagle Beach which in my opinion was the best beach for relaxing. This resort was priced affordably, its a few miles from the bigger resorts and far less crowded then the larger resorts. If you are looking to relax, are on a budget and are not bothered by outdated decor (its outdated but not kept in poor condition) this is the place for you. There is no entertainment or pool activities at this resort and their casino is small. There is also a small restaurant we did not eat there. I suggest renting a car as it is a few miles from most of the action/entertainment and taxi rides can get expensive again let me say this resort is QUIET there is NO ACTION in this area and we were fine with that but if you want action/entertainment this resort is not for you. We ate at Madam Jeanettes ($$$), Sole Mar ($$$), Bugaloe ($$) all were wonderful. Especially Bugaloe they are right out on a pier, the food was awesome, VERY affordable great sunset views, fun staff and live entertainment, avoid Mojitos and Iguana Joes.

This place is great . We went directly to their website and saved money over other sites. Raymond and pablo out front are willing to help with anything they can. The waterslides and waterfall make up for the slightly dated furniture. You can even use one of the many BBQ grills around the pool . Next time I go Im stayin there again.

Well, looks like Aruba is a destination of choice. Spent another 5 weeks on this beautiful Island and once again, was at the Tropicana. Room - a one bedroom, was more that adequate, and they have this fabulous little Casino, right there on the property. Wonderful, most especially, seeing that I actually won some $$ this year!!!

The staff is more than excellent - from the Front Desk, to Maintenance, to the Bell man - truly great, and more than accommodating, My friend, who traveled with me this year - just loved it. And for a first time experience for her - she is coming back again next year!!!!!

Yes, Aruba and the Tropicana - are my choice!!!
