This place is great because it is local food very cheap and people are very friendly , the place has free wifi which you really need in the island, prices are in local currency you have to convert and you do need a god to get here. Recommended look at pictures ,,,,, very affordable , whole red snapper for 10 usd and sodas 1.25 usd.

Was in search of something authentic away from all of the resorts/tourist attractions; Casa Vieja did not disappoint! The food was amazing, the service was friendly (and very tolerant of my rusty Spanish), and the portions were generous! Definitely a must if you're looking to experience real, authentic Colombian food!

casa vieja is puro colombiano......pure colombian and is a great spot to either eat in or take out

it is just down the road from sultan, and probably would be best getting there by car
if you want to beat the downtown crush at lunchtime, take the road to cumana from the
traffic circle at the airport to the t intersection and make a left....it will be a few hundred
yards down on your left

there is a big lunch crowd but it is mostly take out and mostly for the soup, which comes with some white rice and a piece of sweet plantain (tajada or maduro) sometimes you get an arepa, which are spectacular (oh, btw, the soups are excellent....plenty and delicious.....sopa de carne is wonderful, sopa de mondongo is also super and the sopa de pescado is always killer)

you can order off the menu and they have all the standard colombian fare....beefsteak al caballo is great and the bandeja paisa is spectacular....plenty of food for one person and
almost enough for two to share....otherwise you can ask for the leftovers to take away

you sit outside underneath an open ramada....very pleasant dining experience....
a review of a few years ago mentions the tire shop...it is no longer there, so you dont have that intrusion in your meal

mostly locals, but you can easily order off the menu without speaking spanish, (if you know what the dishes are) and get a fine meal (they do breakfast too...the chorizo is
amazingi)

beers are super cold and if you are eating there or taking out, you should at least have one aguardiente to complete the experience

We have been there twice during our holidays in Aruba. It's not far from Oranjestad, half an hour walking from the city centre. It's a colombian restaurant, very typical. I ate a very good pasta and the second time a very good stew fish. The plates are big and tasty, all with big and tasty sides. Friendly personnel, the place has only tables outside, right prices, not expensive. Strongly recommended

Saw this on a youtube video and drove by it one evening-turned around and went to dinner. We were not disappointed! Food was spectacular-all home cooked and fresh! Prices were very good. Relaxed atmosphere. Definetly a place the locals eat at a lot but we will definitely go back again. Good choices and cold beer!
