We staid here from the 11th Oct until 25th, perfect flight from Gatwick, great service, we paid extra for premier seats, well worth it . On arrival at Aruba you are checked in on the coach, so when we arrived at the divi, there were no queues, and your cases are taken straight to your room. We had a ground floor room in the new block, great to open your patio door onto a patio area and the pool area,. The rooms are great, amazing bed, so comfy, large bathroom, plenty of wardrobe space, and hangers.. The pool was like a bath so warm, the sun loungers are very comfy with a thick mattress on, towels provided, and you can change them as often as you want.
The restaurants are all good the main buffet was good, we really liked gingers at the tam, and the red parrot, we liked them all you will never go hungry. All bars were good and had all labelled drinks , dirty banana is lovely!!! .Unfortunataly a lot of the beach has washed away due to Mathew, but staff are working very hard, trying to get parts of beach safe to use, the beach between the divi and tam is still fine, and there were always beds available . We went to palm island, great fun, we went to the high rise area several times to eat at night taxi €9 both ways, also same price to go to the capital, we went down there a few times as well. We met some great people during our holiday, and a special little boy Frank!!! . Unfortunately our return flight was delayed, and you have to be out of your room by 12 midday and they want to charge you 100 dollars to keep your room!!!!!! That is just being greedy, we were very lucky as 6 of us shared a room and because of little Frank we didn't have to pay, we didn't leave hotel till 8pm, and the were delayed even more at airport!!!!! But, we all got home safely which is the main thing,.

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor in new block

My husband and I have just returned from the perfect week at Divi All Inclusive, I honestly cannot recommend this resort enough! Firstly, we arrived late at night after a 6 hour delay on our flight from the UK. The check in on the bus is a fantastic idea as it means you can make your way straight to the room on arrival, you also get a welcome pack with loads of info which is really handy as you already feel you've found your feet a bit before reaching the hotel. On arrival we were given cold water, a hand towel and the option of a snack pack as only the pizza bar was left open. We opted for pizza from Cocos Bar Grill which was delicious and freshly baked in a proper pizza oven. Our room was beautiful - it was a sea view in the Vista II building - I think they must be the best rooms in the resort as the sea is right below the balcony (or outside the patio doors if ground floor). The rooms are modern and immaculately clean. You also have what feels like your own private wee beach away from the busy main beach. We never had a problem getting a palpa (the beach umbrellas) even the days we didn't go to the beach until the afternoon, the same applied to the main beach between the Divi and Tamarijn. The view of sunset from our balcony was breath taking! There is also a hammock right outside these rooms which is the most romantic spot to catch sunset. And the king sized bed was one of the comfiest hotel beds ever - we slept so well.

The food at the buffet is great - you are spoilt for choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything we tried was delicious, fresh and plentiful. The cook to order steak and fish was a highlight and the food on the asian themed night was once of the best asian meals I've had. We also ate in Pure Lime which makes fantastic Mexican food (the shrimp tacos were a highlight) and Red Parrot which was also nice. We also went to Windows at the gold resort which was really lovely (I've left a separate review for them). I honestly don't know how anyone can't enjoy the the food here - we eat in a lot of nice restaurants back home so know good food and were happy with every single meal.

The cocktails are very nice, if the frozen ones aren't strong enough for you ask for an extra shot of what ever booze is used as the base of it. The wine and champagne were also lovely (there are 3 choices of each wine so something for everyone). Would also recommend trying and Arubian Coffee after dinner - it's a liquor coffee made with an Arubian liquor and is sooo good!

We found the staff at the hotel to be welcoming and friendly. Each person would say hello or good morning when you walked past them. Some people have complained about the Americans who give tips getting favoured service - we did not witness this at all, even when we were at the bar at the same time as people giving tips, we received the same service. I think the US tourists are more open and outgoing so get chatting to the staff more which was really lovely I thought but some folk may see this as the staff favouring them - it's not. Anyway, we never had to wait for a drink, even in the evening when the bar was busy. The staff in each restaurant were so nice and you feel they can't do enough for you. The two staff that stick out are a waiter called Derek - he is a true advocate for Aruba and the resort - so knowledgeable and friendly. Also, the young lady with blonde hair at reception was very helpful and nice each time we had a question.

While on Aruba we went to the Caribbean Carnival in San Nicholas (very easy bus journey away) which felt like a proper local party which was a great experience. We also hired a car and visited the Californian Lighthouse, Alto Vista Chapel and the National Park - I would recommend all. The only thing we were underwhelmed by was Baby Beach - it's nothing special. Especially when your hotel is on the most beautiful beach on the island anyway!

We felt so safe at the hotel and everywhere we travelled in Aruba. There were a few families at the hotel but in no way did it feel like a family resort. Overall it is the perfect all inclusive resort - our only regret is that we only went for 7 days! .

Room Tip: Request an upper floor room in the Vista II building for a breath taking sea view.

This was our 10th trip to Aruba, fourth straight year at Divi Divi to celebrate our anniversary. It was also only the trip to Aruba that we have left the island mad. Ten days sleeping in separate beds because they did not have a King bed that we had requested. We were also put on the ground floor instead of the requested 2nd floor, so in addition to the uninvited and unwelcome drunks that would occasionally stumble into our private space, we had a patio light that would not shut off. It was like mid-day in our room all night. We were told by security and maintenance that is was wired that way for security concerns. We paid the top rate at this resort, booked 10 month early and all we got from the front desk was “Sorry Sir, we are at 99% capacity, check back tomorrow.” After several attempts, we finally gave up. The food and bar service was excellent as usual, but they were obviously over booked with about 12 beach side rooms closed for renovations. Our request and comfort was not a concern to anyone at the front desk. Not surprisingly, the resort still has not responded to our checkout questionnaire.

Room Tip: Unless you book through Thomson's, you will get whatever they feel like giving you.

We have just returned from our second stay at the Divi and as before we really enjoyed it. A lot has already been said on other reviews but hopefully I can add some useful info.
First our room ; we were in one of the older blocks, the Vista two which I was initially disappointed about as I knew there is a newer block but in the end we were quite happy with our room. Yes it was a little dated but it was scrupulously clean and tidy. The housekeeping really do a great job.
There is a safe situated in the wardrobe. It was a good size, big enough to hold a lap top or ipads. It's free to use.
There is free wifi throughout the hotel which we found easy to log into.
There is a fridge in the room but it was empty so a bit pointless really. Other all inclusive hotels fill the fridge with drinks.
There was an ironing board and iron in the room for those who want to appear well pressed but I doubt it gets much use.
The bathroom had two sinks plus a walk in shower. Shower gel and shampoo supplied. The toilet was a separate cubicle in the bathroom and I have to say that it was a bit claustrophobic if the door was shut, not much knee room if sitting.
A hairdryer was supplied.
The shower didn't run very hot but was adequate.

Eating /drinking ; the buffet was ok most of the time. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
We ate at the Red Parrot twice, an excellent venue that needs to be booked in advance.
Also we ate at the Paparazzi Italian but weren't impressed.
Lunch at the Coco bar can be pizza or baguettes. Pretty good but watch out for hungry lizards.
The sandpiper bar does excellent burgers but again be aware that you will be watched by lizards hoping for a share.
For tea and coffee drinkers there is a hot drink station where you can make yourself a brew. This is located by the Coco bar near the Parrot cage.

There is no dress code for the restaurants and men mostly wore shorts rather than long trousers. It's all about comfort in the heat.

There is a book lending / swapping library located at the Vacation station but I don't think it's easily enough accessible as during the day there are people working there so you would have to disturb them to be able to browse the books. Best to look in the evenings when there is nobody working there.

Three shops on site, a gift shop, a boutique ( both pretty pricy) and a jewellers (Diamond international) whose sale staff could sell ice to an Eskimo.

People do get up early to reserve the best sunbeds. Towels provided at the towel station by the giant chess board.

The beach has been much reduced by the recent hurricane and I think will take years to get back to its former state BUT there is still plenty of beautiful beach left for guests to enjoy.
Grounds kept tidy and clean but I did get annoyed that a few guests just left their rubbish behind instead of clearing any mess they made. It doesn't take much effort to place litter in one of the many bins.

The Tamarind hotel is about a 15 minute easy walk from the Divi. A shuttle service is available for those who can't walk far.

All in all another great visit for us and yes we will return if we can.
