True originator of the spaghetti with zucchini and amazing view right on the water. Stopped here after our sunset cruise with Exclusive Cruises.

Maria Grazie is owned by the same family that owns the Villa Relais Vittoria where we, a group of 24 were staying. We had just arrived late Saturday and asked if they could accommodate us for dinner Sunday evening. Although they are not typically open on Sunday evening they opened for us. It was delightful! Rosa and her staff were warm and friendly and the food was out of this world and in abundance. The table was covered with delicious appetizers and the main courses were all a hit. The fish lovers and non fish lovers all enjoyed their meals. They were very accommodating to our two friends who are on gluten free diets It was a wonderful way to kick off our two week vacation! Thank you Rosa!

We arrived by private boat and were picked up by the restaurant tender. The restaurant is rustic. We chose the items recommended by the owner and the food was very pleasant and portions small. I expected the bill to be €100 to €120. It was €€250. The bill was handwritten ...the antipasta of fried calamari and flowers of zucchini came to €60 and a tiny white fish €50 and a portion of cherries €20. I found out that my crew had been offered free pasta supper by the restaurant. "Boat Tax" ...a complete ripoff and should be AVOIDED.

We took a hike in Nerano and then walked down the hill to the port to have some lunch. There were a number of restaurants on the beach...this one was the next to last, and looked good so we stopped. It was fabulous. The setting was perfect...outside but shaded with a direct view of the water, boats, etc. This place (and all the restaurants in the beach) appear to cater to boaters, since there is not much going on in the town to attract visitors other than the water. We had tomato and mozzarella salads, the spaghetti Nerano (a specialty), and a local white fish. All were excellent. Everybody else seemed to be having much bigger meals...the amount of food being brought out to other tables was absolutely staggering. I have never seen a football sized piece of mozzarella! As other reviews have mentioned, this place is expensive...our relatively simple lunch cost more than some dinners we have had in upscale restaurants in Sorrento, but it was worth every euro...a summer lunch spot of your dreams, with great ambience and excellent food to boot.
It is worth noting that people (mostly boaters) were still coming into this restaurant at 2 pm, and it was full when we left at 2:45. Except for the restaurant right next door, all the other restaurants on the beach were pretty much empty by that time. That tells you something.
