“Luxurious and quirky”
Reviewed 30 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We stayed for 2 weeks in July 2017. Beautiful place, v luxurious bathrooms and whole place is finished to a high spec. No washing machine was an issue for us (I clearly didn't check details before booking) but found laundrette facilities at Leonard's cove campsite just up the road, so panic over. The windows are beautiful but we found wooden shutters but impractical. They didn't have catches on them so banged about during the night and had to be weighted shut. Stoke Fleming is very cute and Radius-7 restaurant does great food (although expect a wait for your freshly prepared meal). We managed with our enormous Chrysler voyager (7 seater people carrier) getting in and out of Chapel Lane but it was v tight and not for the feint hearted driver. Likewise with lanes to sandy beaches such as Bantham, Bigbury and Hope Cove. We had fab food at: The Crabshell Inn, Kingsbridge, The Cott Inn, Dartington, the Offshore Bar, Torquay, Rockfish cafe, Dartmouth, Rockfish takeaway, Brixham, Bayards Cove Inn, Dartmouth. Crabbing in Dartmouth, in Bayards Cove was brilliant. We went to Woodlands theme park on a bad weather day, the kids loved it (adults begrudgingly decided to try it and were pleasantly surprised). We also went to Kingsbridge cinema, the smallest one we've ever seen (about 30 seats for our screen) so book ahead, really cute. Walk and cafe at Berry Head, just outside Brixham was stunning.
