The food was good - not great but good. Thai food, which was a rare find, was pretty good. Not many menu items but fresh and good flavor. Catch of the day was snapper; grilled and prepared well. Standard island side dishes. Portions were moderate.

Don't go hungry. From seating to leaving was just under two hours and there were only two other tables. Wondered if the chef was fishing for the catch of the day. No excuses given, just a crazy long wait.

Price was high compared to other meals in the area.

This place is absolutely beautiful exactly as seen in the photos. The Patinos are very nice people and make your stay very enjoyable. I have stayed here twice before and would recommend 100% to anyone. I love it. It's the best place ever

If it was possible to give this place (aka Patino's) no stars, I would do so. There were nine of us (including a six and four year old) who called and booked, having seen reasonable write up in the Rough Guide (to whom I shall also be writing) then headed down at about half seven. There was one other large group seated who had ordered but restaurant was otherwise empty. Place seemed fine, so we sat down and ordered - two people had soup but the rest of us, given the children, ordered entrees only in hopes of a reasonably speedy meal (cue hollow, ironic laugh). Waitress who took our order did so without a smile. No mention was made of any possible delay in service. Then we settled down to await our food. And wait, and wait.

After about 20 minutes some garlic bread arrived which we thought presaged the arrival of the mains - my daughter even decided to only eat half a slice to "save room" - she needn't have bothered.

2 hours after we ordered (and having repeatedly asked, nay begged, them to at least bring out the kids' dish (a portion of spaghetti and meatballs to share)) our food finally arrived. The pasta was inedible. The vegetarian penne had been boiled for so long, it resembled airplane food. The long-awaited spaghetti and meatballs for the children were raw inside - I immediately sent back and cancelled (only for them to reappear on our bill). My children had to be fed with bits from the adults' plates instead. The catch of the day fish was cold. The Thai sizzler fish dishes weren't sizzling when received and the fish was encased in a thick batter which meant all you tasted was batter and sauce snd not the minuscule portion of fish inside.

The only halfway passable dish was the Thai sizzler prawns, though even there the rice was only lukewarm and the vegetables undercooked.

Service was also terrible with drinks taking half an hour to arrive and water not being refilled.

After all of the above, not one word of apology was given and, as mentioned, they tried to charge for the cancelled dish. And this was not particularly cheap either, with mains between 120tt and 170tt.

I strongly recommend anyone looking for a place in Tobago to eat to go anywhere but here. At least three members of my party said it was the worst dinner they'd ever had.

We saw this place as we were driving through. Looked it up on the internet and just turned up the next day. We were warmly greeted and the children loved the huge fish while we waited for our table.
The service and food was fantastic and we did have to wait a while for the food as it was being cooked just for us. Can't rate this Resturant highly enough and I don't give out scores easily!
