“Last minute get away was a gem!”
Reviewed 13 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Stayed here for a week with our dog too, was just what we hoped for. Cozy, warm and clean. Everything provided. Great base for all the famous sights in the area, we covered Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle, Portland, West Bay ( for Broadchurch fans), Poole, Weymouth, and further a field Plymouth and into Devon to Dartmoor.
We love our Dorset breaks as it is not too far from Essex, so we would stay here again and knowing Dorchester we chose to pop to Tesco's for our provisions, it's home from home.
Owners are delightful and although if you have a dog the garden is a few steps across from the car park its not a deal breaker, just a consideration if you are expecting an enclosed garden to the cottage itself.
All in all brilliant place to stay would visit again and totally recommend.

“Warm cosy dog friendly cottage”
Reviewed 23 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Warm comfy dog friendly cottage.

Superbly equipped loved the log burner and enjoyed a hot bath after long walks.

A very much appreciated welcome pack including wine.
Winfrith Newburgh is also near so many wonderful places with great coast walks and seaside towns. We especially liked Weymouth with its sandy beach, Durdle Dor, Bridport and the Golden Cap coastal walk.
The three local pubs all welcomed dogs – the Countryman we found the best. There is also a fantastic village shop.
