Clean, tidy.
Parking isn't guaranteed (parking space for b&b owner and one more car).
Bath only (no water pressure for shower). Also our bath was already used (dirty line in the bath).
Guest's made to feel as inconvenience (you are made to feel like you are getting in their way).
Cash only (honesty these days people doesn't carry cash).
Lateness for breakfast=no breakfast (after lecture we got it). So it was Sunday morning we was told off by Andrew that breakfast is served until 9am and we got downstairs 9.15am. We waited 20min while other couple enjoyed breakfast. In that time we could hear an argument "it's not acceptable", "it doesn't work that way" and woman stormed off ( I guess she didn't even wanted to give a coffee for us ). Then Andrew gave us a lecture and after that fried up same breakfast as the day before out of pity. Breakfast was ok ( it would be nice to have a choice).
Yes house is lovely but owners needs a reality check if they want to carry on with the business or not.
My fiancée and I traveled many places in 10years. We are not picky customers as long as it's clean bed/bath, breakfast until 10am (at least on weekends),card payment, no lectures and not too much of conversation.
Can be noisy due to main road (tractors)
Expensive (£89 expect nothing less for the night).
For some reason we could not leave a review at all ( the website that we booked it ). It's funny as it scores 9.7 more like it reviews was fake.
Will I come back or recommend for others? NO

We booked the ensure room for the weekend. Room and house are lovely, clean and comfortable. location is great. We were made to feel very welcome. Food was excellent and breakfast was at a time which suited us. Would definitely stay again. Price right for what is offered.

stayed here for a night, booked for 2 but needed to get home, while my son and I visited the Tank Museum. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. Tara and Andrew made us feel very welcome and even made us a packed tea for our train journey home - as well as driving us to the station. I left my pj's by accident and was upset because they belonged to my mum who has sadly passed away.....but today a parcel arrived at my house with a lovely note and my pj's! You wouldn't get that anywhere else. Highly recommended xxx Thank you Tara and Andrew xx see you again one day.

What a lovely, relaxing place. Andrew and Tara were incredibly flexible and didn't seem phased by our late (and then further delayed) arrival time and were incredibly friendly and hospitable during our short stay. Breakfast was served at a time which suited us, and was delicious (and very generous!) both mornings. I particularly loved the half grapefruit served each morning. The room was very comfortable, big comfy bed, and very spacious. Lovely and warm too considering the dreadful weather we had!
Monkey World and the Tank Museum are within an easy 10-15 minute drive, as is Durdle Door and the rest of the coast.
Andrew kindly recommended The Sailor's Return as a place to eat on Saturday night, and then also made the booking for us! Delicious food and friendly service, we would have gone back if we had stayed a few more days.
Really lovely and relaxing stay, and if we ever visit the same area again we will definitely consider Cheriton House again.

I planned a short break in Dorset for my wife's birthday and after doing my research opted for Cheriton House. We were not disappointed, the house is lovely, in a good location to visit local attractions and the room clean and comfortable. The breakfast choice was excellent and they even asked their butcher to make gluten-free sausages for me. Andrew and Tara were excellent hosts and their local knowledge was helpful.
