“Wonderful stay on a magical island”
Reviewed 30 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Spent May bank holiday weekend here with husband and 3 teenage kids. Beautiful location on the south side of the island,a lovely 35 min drive from Brodick. Everything you need is here, immaculately clean yurts, comfy beds, clean towels, private bathroom, shared fridge, utility area, all you need to bring is clothes and toiletries. I must also recommend (if you are prone to getting bitten) midge repellant is a very good idea. Lovely hosts very welcoming and helpful. Ducks, hens free roam around site, friendly cows in fields behind. Its so easy to fall in love with Arran, what a special island and a beautiful site. We spent quality time with 3 teenagers, with no phones, ipads or internet ( which for them is tough going) and weve never laughed so much. We will be back, Andy and Pippa, thank you for a lovely weekend x

“Relaxing Birthday Trip”
Reviewed 29 May 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We stayed for 3 nights mid-week at the end of March (we forgot to review sooner!) and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. My husband booked the yurt as a surprise for my 30th birthday and it really was a special place to spend a relaxing few days. The yurts were ridiculously cosy when the stove was on (you really don’t need extra layers like we thought you would – even in March!) and they are well kitted out with the basics - we were able to cook a simple meal one night (though we did struggle to get the oven at a decent heat to cook anything at any great speed!). We’d have loved to use the outdoor fire pit too but unfortunately the weather didn’t allow for that. We liked the fact you have your own separate bathroom and the shared small utility room was useful, with a small fridge and microwave. The location provides a perfect base to explore Arran.

Many thanks to the very welcoming and friendly hosts for a fantastic stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Runach Arainn and we hope to return one day (hopefully when the sun is shining so that we can enjoy it even more!).

“Great weekend trip”
Reviewed 15 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

6 of us stayed in the yurts for 2 nights over a scorching weekend in May. The facilities are great - fire pit (bbq), kitchen, showers, wood-burning stove etc and all within walking distance of the beach. Andrew and Pippa were really welcoming. Thanks for having us.

“Fantastic 3 night stay, the fab yurt perfect for 4 sisters to catch up, in beautiful surroundings.”
Reviewed 13 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Arran is a beautiful island, Runach Arainn is a perfect base and easy to find. Fab cosy but spacious yurt perfect for our sister catch up. Very clean, efficient stove/fire, lovely to see the stars whilst in a comfy bed. Immaculate bathroom, (shower and composter loo! ) Pippa and Andrew were friendly, helpful but unobtrusive. Lovely wild beach short walk away where we watched otters fishing and playing in the sea. Definitely would recommend and we will be back.

“A big step up from a tent!”
Reviewed 5 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The yurts are very well presented and the facility is managed to a high level. The circular, one room layout is ideal for for friends and family who want to spend time together. Each yurt has its own bathroom, in a separate heated building. There is also a communal kitchen / laundry room. Hot water comes from a central biomass boiler and is plentiful.
The format works well - highly insulated walls and a simple wood burning stove keep things warm indeed.
No mobile signal but you shouldn't be reading email.
Andrew + Pippa run the place to a high professional standard and it shows.
