Sunday lunchtime Carvery nothing special what so ever I’m afraid, only thing that attempted me to try it again was a Text Kids eat Free today!!!
Turkey was ok, the beef was completely Fatty and in my opinion not nice.
You could clearly see the parsnips were frozen as they were to perfect in shape!!!
So all in all a bit of a disappointment.

When we got our bill, the children’s Kid eat Free offer wasn’t taken off, so we had to Ask.

When we left the restaurant Not one member of staff said Thank you or good bye. Even the boss looking lady was downstairs by the main door and she didn’t even say a word. I was very disappointed in this thought it was very rude.

I will not be returning in a hurry or certainly not recommending it to anyone.

We were a party of twelve consisting of 9 adults and 3 children. We were given a table by the window which was perfect given the setting of the Boathouse. The service was excellent and our waitress was lovely and very accommodating when 2 of our party arrived late. The ambience was relaxed and laid back. The carvery was good and plentiful. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely return.

Had my brothers funeral at Danson boathouse, the owners from start to finish were absolutely superb. The wake, considering the circumstances was amazing, food superb plenty of bar staff never had to wait longer than 5 minutes considering there was over 300 people so so glad we chose the boathouse. Brilliant setting with a bit of class. Thank you so much

Visited this on a Sunday for the carvery roast dinner as could not get booked into the Toby down the road. Last bookings are 5pm and our table was 4.30 so it was quite late in the day and untidy in there. Bits of food on floor but there were children in there so I suppose it can't be helped. Decided to go for three courses for £19.99 - good choice of starters and desserts. Carvery itself was turkey, gammon and beef. Turkey and gammon were good but beef was tough. Vegetables were peas, red cabbage, carrots and cauliflower cheese. Vegetables were ok but I felt you needed more green veg i.e., broccoli, cabbage. At end staff helped themselves to carvery which is ok but it would have been nice if they could have waited until we left!

Overall it was ok but still prefer the food at the Toby.

Only visited here once-was a family group for a birthday bash mid-day on a Sunday
Not helped by a cold grey day I'm sure!
So firstly there is no car parking for the venue- the very few spaces were marked by a sign that warned of fines and clamping!- Very welcoming not.
Then the location is unusual for no parking- the only choices are hoping one of the few spaces are available on the main road-which is a VERY busy main road-or parking in one of the side roads which are all on the opposite side of this crazy busy main road and walking. This frustrating situation is made positively dangerous by the fact that there is no pedestrian crossing of any description provided at all. Crazy dangerous and what on earth were the licensing authorities considering allowing this I wonder?
Arriving at the venue itself just after noon I found no obvious entrance whatsoever and a rather austere facade. I actually walked around for a short while before confirming that everyone has to use an entry speaker to gain access- seemed very strange for a
family venue.
Once inside there is a smart single large room-space with tables with what could be a lovely view over Danson Park on a bright day except we were there in winter
Food was very good for this kind of catering and variable- I enjoyed all three courses.
Wine list was very limited Staff were attentive and pleasant Would have given 3 Stars except for the risk to life to arrive there. Prices were reasonable
