“Nestled in the valley lies Molino, lovingly restored watermill, that has all the elements required for a beautiful break”
Reviewed 6 December 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Nestled in the valley lies Molino, lovingly restored watermill, that has all the elements required for a beautiful break with access to all modes of transport to enjoy the culture.
Bikes were hired locally and maps available at Molino to plan rides into the town to access the local markets, the outdoor swimming pool and the must visit Aboca museum which wonderfully presents the ‘history of medical herbs’ you leave feeling most relaxed and cultured.
There are walks from the Molino to the top of the valley with surround views and with footpaths to guide the walk a great way to observe nature and enjoy the sunshine and sunsets. Nearby within the woodland are natural spas perfect to cool off in.
We used the local train to visit Perugia and walked along the historic viaduct and spent time in the National Art Gallery. Went in a friend’s car hire and travelled to Gorbio well worth it to wander around the nooks n alleyways to discover baroque churches and we went on the funicular to access the hilltop village.
During our stay the sun shone and we could bathe, cool in spas and of course enjoy the gelatos.
A good place to stay after adventures to unwind bake pizzas in traditional pizza oven and plan your next day or next trip like me.

“Mill house accommodation full of character, great location with natural plunge pool”
Reviewed 28 November 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Easily accessible location, great local market towns, restaurant 20min walk with stunning views. Milino also has traditional pizza oven - we made stone baked pizzas! Enjoyed great cycling - can set off from property for beautiful rides. The bushes & trees would twinkle each evening - fireflies! So magical! I've never experienced anything like this before, I felt so lucky.
Visited Gubbio by car & Perugia by train. Both worth day trips.
Will definitely be back!

“Lovely experience”
Reviewed 5 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Mill and found it an excellent base for exploring the area.

It was lovely to walk in to, clean and fresh, with a generous amount of food and essentials in the fridge. It is easy to find, being only a couple of kilometres from San Giustino, which, in turn, merges into San Sepulchro. It is in easy reach of several stunning hill towns and hidden gems like Citta in the Tiber Valley bottom. If you travel farther afield it is well place for Gubbio, Cortona, Urbino and Fabriano, all served by good roads.

The mill is a sensitive conversion keeping its 18th century character and integrity, with lovely old tuscan tile floors and local furniture . The kitchen was well equipped, the sitting area comfortable and bedrooms spacious. We found it nice and cool when it was burning outside, and it had the decking area for sun bathing, as well as the shady lean-to for BBQ evenings. (These evenings were special because of the displays by the fireflies from dusk onwards)

We enjoyed the local village, the friendly bar (the Champions League Final!) and the local historic villa (Castiglione has associations with the local Bufalo family and their dynastic struggles with the Viteli family (you couldn't make it up!),

There was everything available within convenient distance, and it did deliver a warm and peaceful three weeks. We have no hesitation in recommending highly for a stay.

“basic rather than rustic”
Reviewed 14 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Agree with the previous 'it's a mixed bag' review. One or two nice rooms but overall impression is that it is neglected and uncared for. Overgrown area outside, lots of cobwebs, limited seating area. If you're looking to cook, the kitchen is tiny with an old stove and very limited storage and work space, even for six guests, let alone 9 - 11! Near some lovely hill towns but a car is absolutely necessary for any trip. Really needs a big overhaul.
