“A truly wonderful stay, will definately return and recommend”
Reviewed 9 April 2012 for a stay in April 2012

An amazingly equipped cottage, everything you would expect and much more. We had a party of 2 adults and 5 children aged 7,9,10,14 and 17. The lay out worked well with plenty of space for all of us. Hospitality was exceptional from both the owners and their delightful children allowing us interaction with their animals, even when the sheep were lambing. Location for us was ideal. Days out to Weymouth, Lyme Regis, Dorchester and Bridport all an easy car ride. The local pub served a warm welcome with great food at very reasonable prices. There is nothing negative I can say about this cottage or its location. Would definately return.

“Excellent family accommodation with very helpful hosts”
Reviewed 8 November 2011 for a stay in October 2011

We stayed in here in October half-term holiday with our two young children and dog. The Bothy is full of character and very well-equipped, and unlike some holiday cottages we have stayed in, there is plenty of communal living and dining space for the number of berths.

Our children slept in a large bedroom on the first floor above the bedroom my husband and I shared. They loved it as it has a huge superking-sized bed, a separate single bed, bathroom and TV+DVD player (as do the other two bedrooms).

My father-in-law stayed with us for part of the holiday and he took the very nice bedroom at the other end of the house which meant he was well away from any noisy early risers. His eaves room had a lovely modern bathroom with a large walk-in shower.

There is an enclosed garden outside the back door to The Bothy with a picnic bench which I can imagine would be a very pleasant place to sit in the summer months. The owners have an enclosure with pygmy goats next to the garden which were a big hit with our boys.

The owners and their children live onsite and are very welcoming and informative about the local area. There is lots to see and do nearby and the local scenery is charming. We would love to return.

“very good value for money”
Reviewed 18 September 2011 for a stay in June 2011

the bothy is an excellent place to stay for large partys, there was 7 of us and had plenty of room to move. the bothy is excellent also is the other two accommodations, views from the bothy is great and the owners make you feel very welcome and look after us very well during our stay. you do need a car to travel as there is not a lot in the village, the bothy is good for disabled as the front of the bothy is on the flat and has a downstairs bedroom with 1 small step into it off the kitchen. there is 1 very small downfall we found with this is that the ensuit in the downstairs bedroom is very small and not suitable for wheelchair disabled. we looked at the stables while we was there and that is suitable for all disabled. very relaxing holiday, thank you for a great holliday.
