Easy access to the Grampians and a lovely place to stay

Review of Meringa Springs
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 15 Mar 2024via mobile
A very warm welcome from our host and hostess; a lovely room and bathroom; a nice outside space with a view on the paddock and the hills farther away.
The bar and lounge is the hart of the lodge; a telescope enhances the views and the terrace has a nice pool. The breakfast as well as the dinner are well prepared and tasty.
The hostess contacted us before arrival and urged us to download the Vic Emergency app, so we would be informed on any incidents on our route, since there were some bushfires in the area.
The location gives easy access to the Grampians.

This is a stunning place in many respects. The location, the rooms, the warm hospitality from Bea and her team make it a perfect choice.
Kangaroos and cockatoos set the scene, together with the vista of the Grampians. The rooms are very well equipped and enable you to fully appreciate the setting. Excellent bathroom with the best shower I have ever encountered!
    Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time at the Meringa Springs. From the welcome party of kangaroos to the spectacular sunsets from our terrace, everything was perfect! The infinity pool is a real joy after a day’s walking. Food was locally sourced - fresh and delicious. Our hostess, Bea couldn’t have been more helpful. Hope to return one day.

Reflecting on our 21 day road trip through huge cities, small coastal villages, rural and mountain communities, Meringa Springs lodge is our favorite.
Bea is a wonderful host. She is genuinely interested in her guests, listening to their interests and directing you to have a wonderful experience.
Our suite was impeccably designed for comfort. Loved standing on the deck to watch the kangaroos at dusk and dawn.
    A beautiful retreat.

This hotel is surrounded by beautiful countryside and wildlife. Kangaroos are plentiful particularly at dusk and dawn. We also saw Emu. The ambience and food would be hard to beat anywhere. Our two night stay ended too soon. If you play a musical instrument there are opportunities here with a piano, trumpet and clarinet available. The mountains have a special charm particularly at dusk. I do not have any hesitation in strongly recommending this hotel. You will not be disappointed don’t forget to have an Ice Cream at the ‘Gap’. Although you may have to queue it is well worth it for the experience?

Thank you Tudor for taking the time to write such a lovely review. It is so wonderful to welcome guests back from the U.K and enjoy our beautiful Country and surrounds. It was the morning of the 25th of September that we had eight Deer running across the Paddock in the early hours of the morning which was a great topic of conversation over breakfast!
Thank you for mentioning the Piano, Trumpet and Clarinet...... we encourage anyone with any musical ability to entertain us!!!
We hope to welcome you back, and as agreed, for a longer period next time. Take care. Best regards Bea & The team at M.S
