Owner description: Bike down Haleakala, Maui's largest Volcano. Enjoy a tour of Haleakala National Park and a trip up to the summit at 10,000feet above sea level. Admire views of the Crater, and bicoastal views of Maui. Experience a 23 mile bike ride downhill at your own pace. No guided convoy to rush you down, no big group to hold you back. You are free to come down at your own comfortable rate.

We took the deluxe trip all the way up into the halaeakala national park. We we’re lucky with the weather and visibility was incredible even went the forecast was 70% rain. Kemo was our guide and his knowledge and professionalism set the bar and made the trip memorable. This company was professional and had great equipment and staff. The bikes had disc brakes which is desired because you will be on the brakes 90% of the time. They provided good rain gear helly hanson, backpacks and helmet’s and kona bikes. Helmets can be fitted with go pro’s. All of us would highly recommend this company and the deluxe trip.

Its downhill 90% of the way. But take your time. The whole idea in bikes not cars is to get you close to where you are. Stop lots, stop for photo's, views, breaks and food. It turns it from a 90 minute race into a 4 hour adventure. Staff were good, bikes are designed for this with excellent brakes but its not the mountain bike you have a home so dont expect massive shocks and knobbly tires. There is a vegan face at the bottom for those of that inclination and a fabulously old and characterful bakery/general store in Makawao (near the end).

I took my twins to Maui. The three of us did the 3:00 AM sunrise bike ride on our first day. It was phenomenal, the scenery is breathtaking. Our guides Ken and Marlon were tremendous in preparing of us for what to expect. The bike tour was awesome. My kids are 11 and easily managed the 22 mile ride down the volcano mountain. I highly recommend this as a must do on Maui

Bike Maui is a very well run bicycle tour. I would recommend it to one and all. Drive to the office on your own if possible even if it is in the morning hours as you won't have to rush back by 11 am to return the bikes. Though the sunrise was a miss due to some clouds, the tour guides Marlon and Tim made sure that they took us to another spot where the crater is, so that we can get some more good pictures. You can tell they are sincere and honest in their job and love what they do. Their bikes are well maintained and very safe to ride. Take your time to ride down and have breakfast at Kula lodge. They are usually busy and have a wait by the time you get there on your bike . But the food and views are great and well worth the wait.
