Clean and Quiet

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 15 May 2024via mobile
The campsite was clean and everyone around was quiet. No generators were running, but I don't know if that is a rule or something that just happened where we were. Summer may have a completely different feel. We saw elk inside the campground along with the usual squirrels, chipmunks, and birds. I highly recommend using the Park bus service to visit the rim and Grand Canyon Village sites.
Date of stay: May 2024
Room Tip: Use the bus system inside the park!

Just up the road we spent some time in the sunshine walking the loop at the local campground. There were wild horses to see, and an easy stroll through the tall pines.

This was the least favorite location we stayed at along our trip. Luckily it was only for a night! The bathrooms/showers are repulsive. The shuttle bus stops at 745pm- so if you plan to dine out you will have to take a taxi back to your camp area. The only good thing about this location was the fires! Most the RV parks we stayed at fires were prohibited. It serves its purpose for a night maybe 2 but get in and get out. Overall was just Meh!

Amazing campground. Showers at the front with laundry off season hours last shower at 545 pm FYI off season starts 10/16/23.
Nice campgrounds. Definitely going to stay here again. Aspen loop #59 was perfect. You have a fire pit, can bring your own wood. Near restaurants and the store and they are walking distance. Bus is close too.

Room tip: No bear lockers FYI have to keep food in your car.

This is the most basic campground facilities you can get. Sites are small and packed tightly with zero privacy. The showers cost $2.50 and are flithy. I gave two stars instead on one because of proximity to the Grand Canyon and the fact that they offer laundry facilities.

This campground was a great choice, we enjoyed one night here.
The place for tents is pretty big,
The bathroom was 200 m from us, it was clean. Access to shower and portable water.
At night it was quiet, besides of the elks noises.
Pretty close to a grocery store and restaurants.
Easy self check-in and check-out.
Close to the Grand Canyon.
