Owner description: An 11-mile scenic drive on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

The Point Imperial Point drive is approx. 2.5 miles from the "Y" intersection off the Cape Ryal Scenic Drive! At Point Imperial you have wonder views to the east w/ the Vermillion Cliffs the the far distance! At 8800 feet elevation the temps in October can be quite cool and if windy very chilly! Well worth the visit!

This is a beautiful drive with views of pine forests and aspen stands, which leads to Point Imperial. At an altitude of 8803 ft, this is the highest point in Grand Canyon NP. It's also a relatively quiet place with few other visitors. The views are amazingly beautiful and awe inspiring. There are nice shady picnic tables under the trees where we had our lunch. Toilets are available but there is no drinking water. Two trails lead off from the parking lot, the Ken Patrick and the Point Imperial Trails.

Nice views Big picnic area and rest rooms. Easy rim hikes near by. Leave about 2 hours to enjoy the area.
