Had the lunch buffet. Only redeeming food was the carrot cake and soft serve ice cream. Save your money and eat at the Subway.

There wasn't much choice in resturants when we were there in late March but this restaurant had a dinner buffet that was very popular. Typical buffet items - reasonable and varied selection of items and the usual salad and desert bars. Pleasant wait staff and acceptable quality for the price. Hit the spot after hiking at Bryce Canyon National Park.

Coming to stay for two nights in the off season, really didn't leave much choice for dinner and we weren't expecting much. After a long wait, we were seated by the window and had the buffet, which was better than expected. We came back for breakfast and it really wasn't that great.

Listen to the reviews as they are spot on. We were seated quickly. Waited about 15 minutes for a server or anyone to acknowledge us.
Just add water and open a can type food in the buffet. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Overpriced. Eat before you get there if you can. It is the only option this time of year. We went for dinner and did not go back for the breakfast, instead we left and found breakfast elsewhere.

We are a family on a budget and since we had an unexpected pricey lunch the day before, we were looking for something good within budget. We were looking at the menu when a gentleman had walked by and said the buffet was amazing. Unfortunately, the buffet is nothing to brag about. It was ok and the selection was a little disappointing. They had meatloaf, chicken, mac and cheese, potato and gravy, meatballs, 3 soaps, cornbread, salad bar, and desert bar. The meatloaf was meaty (not much for seasoning) with large onion and carrot chucks. Meatloaf is one of my favorite foods and this one tasted like they just added the onions and carrots, packed it together, and added katchup on top. The meatballs had a nasty after taste. I couldn't eat the other 3 that I had taken. The coleslaw at the salad bar was plain. It tasted as though they had opened a bag of mixed cabbage and added watered down mayo to it. I couldn't finish it.

The mac and cheese was very good. I had second helpings on that. The cornbread was sweet and delicious.

Service was slow. We didn't get offered refills until we were nearly done with our lunch and the place was not that terribly busy. In fact, most of the staff were kind of standing around watching us eat.

The dining room is a nice area and looked very inviting, but if we came back to the area again I know we would not eat at Ruby's Inn Cowboy's Buffet and Steak Room.
