Winterton on Sea was simply lovely, totally unspoilt. The cottage was a ten minute walk to the beach and a bit less to the pub!
The cottage was lovely and well equipped and great for a few days away. We loved the wooden floors and flint walls.
We had thought being a barn conversion that we would be in a more rural setting, but it was in fact a group of cottages on a residential road. However it was quiet and there was little noise.
There were a few things that could be improved on e.g.; a nest of tables.
Overall a lovelybstay. Thank you.
This is a high quality cottage with old flint stone walls and great quality furnishings. Lovely enclosed Garden for our dog and 5 minutes walk to the dunes. Met by Jan the housekeeper who was really helpful.
We booked natterjack cottage as we wanted a break away near the beautiful beaches of winterton and horsey. It was nice to find accommodation meeting all of our needs especially as it was spacious and dog friendly. On arrival at the property we were met by Jan, who explained how everything worked, the cottage was a bit chilly so she had kindly put a small heater on in the lounge area. However the bedrooms remained cool. This was rectified following an email to the owner. Who turned adjusted the heating remotely. He reported that the heating was 21oc but this reading was inaccurate because that was with the heater turned on?!
We could not fault in interior decoration which was v tasteful, however there was not enough comfortable seating for 4 adults, the lounge was dark and you cannot see out of any of the windows when u r seated. I appreciate that it was a stable. But there was no focal point. Also there are no small tables to put your cup or glass when seated on the sofa.
Anyway thank you Richard for a lovely stay, the dogs say thank you too!
Pictures don't do it justice. The perfect home away from home. Superb accommodation Jan is a wonder and so helpful. We want to take her home with us! Would book again in an instant.
