My partner and I stayed for one night only, and found it hard to tear ourselves away when it was time to leave. We were made very welcome by our hosts, Heidi and Hugh, and nothing was too much trouble, from offering to reserve a table for us at the local pub, to making sure we didn't get lost when heading off to our local appointment the following morning.
The place itself is stunning - beautiful old buildings round a quiet courtyard, with a large walled garden behind. It is secluded and very quiet, with chickens roaming around and a real 'country manor' feel.
The room we stayed in is in an old stable block, which has been renovated to an immaculate finish and with great attention to detail. It all felt most luxurious, with a huge comfortable bed and a high spec bathroom.
Breakfast was brought to us in our room, and we enjoyed sitting at our little table under the window in the morning sunshine to eat. The food was delicious!
They're so newly opened that they don't yet have a website. Don't let that put you off!
We easily agreed this this is one of the best B&B's we've ever stayed in and we will definitely be back for a longer stay.More
