I'm sure we just timed it badly but having arrived at the gated premises (9 minutes past three in the afternoon) & pressed the buzzer to be let-in, there was an automated voice response, I left a message as requested.
The premises seemed to be deserted so I phoned the owners mobile contact number, no response, so left an answerphone message to say we were outside the gate waiting to be let-in.
15mins later having heard nothing I phoned the mobile again, 'good news' Helen answered, gave me an entry code & said her son should be there to let us in, unfortunately she was abroad on holiday. Hooray for mobile phones, Helen advised me on how to drive in & gain access to the holiday let.
The garden room was clean & comfortable & of a good standard.
Although there is a microwave it is made clear that there are no actual cooking facilities in the room (the B.B.Q is available outside), any dish-washing needs to be carried-out in the plastic bowl provided & then in the bathroom, a bit awkward so be warned.
Gardens great, nice quiet spot at the end of a wooded lane.
It was nice to be trusted to carry-on as we pleased, we never did meet junior!
If the cleaner could look-up and maybe clear the various spiders from the ceiling it would be excellent.
My husband and I, and our dog Jess, spent a lovely 5 days in this accommodation. The family were very friendly and very eager to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The property had fantastic gardens, lakes and woods where we could walk Jess everyday and the surrounding area was very rural and beautiful too. Thank you Helen for sharing your beautiful property with us. We had a great time and would we would highly recommend to others.
This was a perfect place for us as we were looking for a beautiful setting, peace and tranquility. The house is beautiful and being allowed to walk around the grounds was great. Lovely owners and felt very welcome. Will definitely be returning. Thank you both from Paula and Kevin.
Accommodation was very comfortable and appreciated extras such as milk, bottled water and porridge etc.
Grounds were lovely to walk in and very peaceful.
Good welcome when we arrived.
Lots to do in local area with visits to Malvern Hills, Worcester and evenings at the nearby Swan Inn.
The highlight of my stay at the Garden Suite was the chance to explore the wonderful gardens that accompany the main house. Of particular note was the wonderful collection of trees laid out in an informal woodland setting around the edge of the property and a more formal arboretum layout closer to the house (and that's not to mention the stunning lake which I will leave for you to discover!). The mown path gently leads you on a journey around the estate and is a real treat for those of us who like trees!
Accommodation wise it was exactly as described and as expected. The room is large and comfortable and well appointed with a fridge, kettle and toaster. Crockery and cuttlery is provided along with complimentary tea and coffee (plus sugar) and a pint of milk appeared on my doorstep not long after I arrived. Oat bars and some porridge pots are also in the room so you will have something to eat if you arrive late one day.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom perfectly adequate.
It is a journey to get some dinner but this should not put you off as the choices are very varied in the local area.
I hope to return one day.
