Have now been twice in the past couple of months and both evenings have been highly enjoyable.
The chef, Tanya, is warm, welcoming and happy to explain the menu or give you her recipes.
The evening starts with fizz served in the lounge where you meet the other guests. We were a party of 6 and then 4 and shared our table with other diners - In fact on the first visit we ended up pushing the two tables together to form a larger communion of chat, drinks and laughter along with our dessert.
Canapés are served and then you sit for the first of your courses. A small soup, entrée, main, cheese, dessert and then truffles. Wine or port was an unexpected but nice addition. No wine is sold. Bring your own (no corkage) and it will be served at the table.
Tanya is a Coeliac and so the menu is totally gluten free. Carriages around 11.30 is the suggestion and you will leave with a warm heart, full belly and a cuddle from Oscar the dog. Thoroughly recommended.

If you are looking for a special treat this has to be the place. A North Oxfordshire farmhouse that is a pop up restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights most weekends each month.

You will not know what you are getting until you arrive but it is special course after special course. Take your own wine, no corkage, but meet your fellow guests ( two tables of 8) for fizz (lots of it) in the lunge before being shown to your table in their beautiful dining room.

It is little wonder that this place has made it into the Good Food Guide - an experience our party will long remember. The word has got out about this place so you will need to book well ahead.

There are two communal tables and a 5+ courses set menu, you should bring your own alcohol. Everything is naturally gluten-free. I however can eat gluten, I would place this restaurant in my all time top 3 favourite places to eat in the world, however compared to the other favourite places, I could actually afford to come back here and I certainly will as soon as possible.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Tanya is the most attentive lady, where attention to detail everything. The rooms are stunning, lovely beds, lovely clean bathrooms with power shower. Everything is taken care of for you with home made touches in your room such as home made brownies, tea, coffee and water. The breakfast on both mornings was AMAZING! What a chef!! again everything you could wish for, with hoe made luxuries and home made food! Thank you for looking after us! This is a must stay B&B.

We dined here as a couple as we were keen to try a pop-up restaurant, having already visited one closer to home.

Such a warm welcome from John & Tanya into their beautiful home.

Canapes & Prosecco served in their lounge along with the other 'unknown' guests, which gave everyone time to mingle & break the ice. There was a mixture of couples, a group of four & a party of eight to celebrate a birthday. We enjoy meeting new people so are happy to sit at large social tables. You can also bring your own alcohol, which the hosts are happy to chill for you. Pop-up restaurants are really great fun if you enjoy good food & good company & we left the night exchanging numbers with a few people. Everyone was so friendly & great company. Highly recommend to anyone who's curious to give it a go, you will not be disappointed.

We had five delicious courses of food which were not known in advance. Again, it's part of the fun, the not knowing. Obviously if we had intolerances then these would have been catered for. Additional port with the cheese, dessert wine with the dessert & the most amazing marshmallows with the coffee. The perfect end to a perfect evening.

We also stayed at their B&B (separate review)

Thank you Tanya & John. We will most certainly return.
