Waiting for our bullet train out of Kyoto back to Tokyo we came to Araumado to grab a quick bowl of Ramen. Of the choices on offer in kyoto-ramen-koji we picked Araumado as we liked the sound of the broth and it was different to what we had tried so far in Japan plus the line was much more reasonable.
The broth was tasty and fresh even with the addition of garlic oil which I enjoyed a lot, there was something about the clean pork taste and garlic that reminded me of an english sunday roast dinner. Condiments were great and the naughty order of fried chicken on the side went down well too.
