We recently stayed at Puntebianche with another couple on a tour around Puglia. Luckily we had decided to stay 3 nights here rather than the 2 originally planned. It is a truly amazing place, so tranquil, beautifully set out, and stunning at every turn. Stefano and Luciano made us feel part of the family and were very welcoming and helpful, so we quickly relaxed. The decor in and around the garden and patio area is a kind of shabby chic that you know has taken real artistic skill to put together. You will have your camera clicking at every turn!
Breakfasts were a delicious buffet with lots of nuts, seeds, grains, fresh fruit, pastries and homemade cakes, which were eaten under the olive trees on the shady patio . . . what could be better?
Being a donkey fan, I just loved chatting to Eva and Selina - so cute! And the dogs were adorable too. The pool was a little piece of heaven, so clean, cool and inviting and beautifully constructed, with a hydro pool set into the rocks above, hammocks in the trees and loungers on the "beach".
Puntebianche is not easy to find if approaching from Martina Franca as the sign board is facing the opposite way, and no-one we asked seemed to know of it. However, after turning around several times, and approaching from Ceglie Messapica we did in fact see the large sign a couple of kms out of town.
Ceglie is a lovely small town with lots of restaurants (from high end to basic but good local places), bars and pedestrian areas, and relatively easy parking.
I have given a 4 rating rather than 5 as our rooms (S. Francesco and S. Michele) were much smaller than we had at any of our other stays in Puglia, but certainly had character in both construction and decor! There was nowhere to put our suitcase apart from under the bed, and storage was limited to a small wardrobe with two small drawers below. But the main issue was the lack of sound-proofing between our room and that occupied by our friends. The bathrooms backed onto the rooms in each case, and (luckily we were v good friends!!) every sound was apparent, and toilets flushing in the night or early showers could be disturbing. There is a fridge in the rooms, but in ours it served as one of the side tables and we had to unplug it at night as it made quite a noise next to the pillow. Wifi and phone reception were very difficult and only available intermittently in the area immediately adjacent to the owners accommodation, but they were aware of a potential problem and hopefully this is now working better.
We would love to return to Puntebianche. It is so well located for seeing the local area of the Itria Valley and further south, but next time we will just arrive with a book and enjoy the spacious gardens and pool, and just lazing in this little bit of heaven!

Room Tip: The round trulli rooms may be larger and more private

This was a short break in the sun for myself and three grown up daughters. What a find! The Trullo was clean and very comfortable. The outside space is just beautiful. Lots of nooks to explore. We loved the pool area. Stefano and Luciano did everything they could to make us feel welcome and relaxed. You could just stay there for days. We did venture out and there are some wonderful traditional towns nearby and coast not far. You do need a car. Four days was not long enough. We loved puntebianche. We are still reminiscing and would highly recommend this beautiful oasis

We came here, after being given a gift for our wedding anniversary. This was an amazing experience and has to be the most relaxing couple of days we have had in years! The owners were extremely hospitable and the location itself was just breathtaking! Located in 'ceglie messapica', which is renowned for its delicious cuisine. The b&b is only a 10minute drive away from the center, so there was such a wide choice of restaurants, bars and shops nearby.
This was the first time to visit what should be an award winning b&b, and will definitely not be the last. We have both agreed that every anniversary will be spent in this comfortable, relaxing, welcoming and stunning location that should not be missed by anyone traveling in southern Italy.
This has not to be missed!!! You won't regret it!!!

We have just returned from the Puntebianche and we are missing it already.

The creation of this beautiful B&B has clearly been a labour of love with lots of attention to detail. Stefano and Luciano were in the fashion industry for many years - and it shows in the presentation and appearance of every aspect at the Puntebianche. They are charming hosts and will do everything to make your stay a pleasure.

The trulli are delightful, cosy and comfortable and spotlessly clean, with mosquito mesh on the door and windows. But it is the outside living space that makes this place special. It really is stunning - and around every corner, and from every angle, is yet another photo opportunity.

Lying in a hammock under the olive trees, beside the pool, with a cold drink at hand, listening to the sound of the cicadas is my idea of bliss. We would go back again in a heartbeat!
