“Absolutely Stunning Views”
Reviewed 15 February 2017 for a stay in September 2016

The property in an absolutely stunning location, with tremendous views which you never get bored of!
The place was lovely and clean on and packed with all the amenities you can think of and more.
Was nice to even receive a little welcome pack too, as when we arrived it was very late at night and none of the local shops would've been open.
If you are looking for a holiday destination to get away from it all, this is absolutely perfect. There is a local bar and shops in the small village, or if you feel more adventurous, there's bigger towns just a short drive away.
We thoroughly enjoyed chilling out in the hot tub every evening, as this was our only ambition for our stay... to have a much needed rest!
I would definitely recommend this place to anybody and hope to return one day ourselves.

“Perfect little hideaway”
Reviewed 11 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Upon arrival we were met by a smiling Jayne who showed us around the property, everything from which light switch operated which light, to the buttons on the Jacuzzi Spa. Even a digi box with UK tv channels if you need them !
Jayne explained that the pool was available at any time but even they had found it a bit cool,so had not used it recently.
We met Tony the next morning as he been unavailable upon our arrival, yet again he was very welcoming and we had a good conversation, they both stressed that it was their intention to give guests total privacy, if they were required they would be available at all times.
The property is charming, great views has everything you need while staying there, it was very clean and hard a large outside space with sun beds, chairs, undercover bar seating area and the Spa.
Not only did we receive a great welcome but once we had settled in we realised that there was a welcome pack provided by Jayne and Tony, all the essentials like Milk, Orange Juice ,Margarine Bread, Beer ,Wine.
This was unexpected but very very welcome.
The Table Mountain restaurant in Los Ventorros about 3 mins drive was excellent, we ate there 4 nights.
This is the first time we have spent time in the mountains, and we would be more than happy to go and stay at Jayne and Tony's lovely picturesque casita again.
Yeah the mountain roads are twisty with huge drops off the side of the road, but that's part of the fun, go on , just do it go, and stay there, you will love it.
Jayne Tony thanks very much and keep enjoying your Spanish lifestyle, I quite envied it.

“Fantastic time”

We have not long got back from a fantastic stay at Casita Antonio. The owners are very nice & helpful & also give you your privacy. The casita is well equipped for all your needs & as we arrived on a Sunday the welcome pack was very much appreciated. The views of the mountains & surrounding countryside from the terrace are stunning. It was lovely to see how the colours changed as the sun moved during the course of the day! The sound of the bells from a mixed herd of goats & sheep as they went out in the morning was lovely & relaxing. It was so nice to sit in the Jacuzzi & gaze out over the beautiful countryside. The hilltop village of Comares a short drive is a charming whitewashed Moorish village that is well worth an explore. The restaurant Mirador has good food at quite reasonable prices. Their mixed grill for two is a challenge that we haven't beaten yet! The owner Sebastien is quite happy to sort out for you to takeaway what you cannot manage. Table Mountain restaurant in Los Ventorros is a classy, very friendly dining experience where you will be welcomed by one of the co owners Bienvenido. You can walk there over a mountain track that will require a good pair of shoes & will take about 15 minutes & maybe a bit longer on the way back depending on how much wine you've had. We also caught a coach from Los Ventorros one morning over the Montes De Malaga & into Malaga itself. It leaves Comares around 7 AM & stops at Los Ventorros about 7:10.& gets into Malaga about 8:30. The current cost for a return ticket was less that 6 Euros each. It does the return journey leaving Malaga about 6:30 PM arriving in Los Ventorros about 7:30 PM. We had breakfast in Malaga at Frankfurts a nice friendly bar/restaurant. Lunch was at one of the small breakfast bar style restaurants inside Malaga market. Fresh seafood cooked to order including Tapas plates of seafood paella. Very nice! There is a lot to see in Malaga with the old Moorish castle, lovely new Marina & loads of shops. For your grocery shopping there is a small shop in Comares with a larger one in Benamargosa down the mountain. There are larger supermarkets in Velez-Malaga,(Eroski & Mercadona). Torre Del Mar on the coast is also worth a trip & has a very good sea food restaurant towards the sea front called El Yate. There is a waiter there who will advise you on how much to order as the food is not only delicious but also generous in the portion sizes. Overall it was a lovely trip & we would definitely stay at Casita Antonio again. Thank you Jayne & Tony for letting us stay there.

“Breathtaking Rural Retreat”

This is a fantastic place for a quiet country retreat.
The guest apartment is part of the main property that the lovely owners Jayne & Tony live in.
Jayne & Tony are a really nice couple that fully respect your privacy.
I recommend getting a car hire as the property is a 1 hour drive from the airport along mountain roads, also the nearest shop is in Comares town and is very small and basic, as we left the airport we passed a huge Carrefour hypermarket where we got all our supplies for our stay.
The property is spotlessly clean, has a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom with shower,WC & bidet, The lounge/bedroom is large and spacious and has a large TV with UK channels.
Outside is the patio area with a BBQ, a covered seating area and a solid gazebo with a bar and various sun loungers not to mention the spectacular view of the scenery.
Through a gate leads to the swimming pool shared with Jayne & Tony (Who are happy to give you total privacy here too)
All in all Casita Antonio is a great place to have a peaceful holiday no hint of loud bars and rowdy revellers, the only sounds to hear here are the occasional sound of dogs, goats, cockerels, donkeys and turkeys all chatting now and then (it IS in the countryside)
We had a great stay here and so will you.
