We had a really good time at this small and family run winery. We had a tasting which was accompanied with some cheese and meats. Lovely wines. The owner speaks really good English which of course always is helpful. Would definitely recommend this place.

Wer abseits des Massentourismus ein Wine tasting der besonderen Art machen möchte ist hier goldrichtig! Silvia is very friendly as well as very educated and charming person. She speaks Italien, English and French fluently- and is also improving her German language skills as well. A wine tasting contains also a plate of salumi and cheese! Very tasting and joyful!
If you are living in Barolo you can go by go by feet ( if you are used to go by feet - it’s about 2 KM only).
You better try this kind of wine tasting than any other! And maybe there are some other guests as well so all of you enjoy the wine details Silvia is sharing with you or you enjoy the experiences you made so far in Barolo region. A really nice place to be!

Really friendly place, all of the staff was greeting you and was so polite. Though the place was pretty busy during our visit we got to have a tasting and a tour to a reasonable price!

We came to Cantina Francesco Borgogno upon recommendation by some nice fellow countrymen that we ran into in the village of La Morra. We did not have an appointment but Mr. Borgogno himself greeted us and asked us in none the less. He speaks not a word of English but that did not deter the hospitality, what a lovely gentleman. Speaking to us in Italian we understood that his daughter in law speaks English and that she would be with us shortly.

The presentation was held by Silvia who did an excellent job despite being interrupted constantly by newcomers, kids and wine snobs if all sorts.

The wine tasting was very nicely arranged and covered their entire spectrum of great wines, flanked by cold cuts, cheeses and nice little hazelnut cookies called “brutto ma buono” that means “ugly but good”!

Mr and Mrs Borgogno kept the table service on an superb level and kept the chitchat going. Mr Borgogno explained that the strives to number one, he said he wants to the Ferrari of wines, numero uno.

Wines were excellent so he may stand a chance and yes, of course we bought a few boxes!

This Cantina should not be missed, it is a gem and we warmly recommend it to all who wants a wine tasting experience beyond the ordinary.

Thank you Silvia for the grappa, it was excellent and a very nice touch!

Wonderful hospitality! Being the 1st recommendation on TripAdvisor, we just went in without reservation. The owner was so nice and tried to accommodate us despite the full table. Their Barolo wine are fantastic; you can find the easy-to-drink to great wine to age. You can’t miss the place!
