The highlight of this hotel is definitely the location right on the beach and the large and beautiful pool, which was great. The room we had was a great size with balcony overlooking the sea, which had all we needed and was comfortable, clean and quiet. The water from the shower however was lukewarm at best and drained across the floor which made it very wet underfoot. Buffet food in the restaurant was good with plenty of choice but the lunch service by the pool was less good and service there patchy. Would recommend overall as a fabulous location with a few areas to improve only. Whale watching trip was more of a ‘let’s try to find a whale’ trip btw as it took ours nearly 7 hours to get anywhere near good views which was exhausting and very hot. The guys tried really hard to please everyone however and fed and refreshed us well.

We stopped there for lunch and it was nice. There is a pool near the beach. The food is ok and the service too but it was very long waiting. There are shower and changing room. They charge you 500 rps per person for the pool and the food is between 700 and 1500 rps depending on what you take.

I was staying in Mirissa to see the whales and wanted a beach. This property was perfect. It is situated right on a beautiful sand beach in a sheltered cove. Wonderful water/surf...The pool was excellent and the food was adequate as well...It is a buffet so beware. There is also a spa on the roof but it is not connected to the hotel. The massage was wonderful but they only accept cash. Just so you know.

Room Tip: Upstairs with a better sea view

The only good thing to say about this hotel is the location, it is right on the beach.

Check in was not too bad, however customer service went down hill from there.

We were allocated a room over looking the pool on the ground floor. We knew we were going to a 2* hotel (think that is generous) so were not expecting luxury. Did not think that we would get a room that stunk of urine or that you could not lock the patio doors (more of that later). When my wife went for a shower the bathroom flooded, she went to complain to the hotel staff who said that someone would come and have a look at it, she also mentioned about the patio door and the response was "don't worry we have CCTV". Oh great we can get a video of someone breaking into our room!!! Also the curtains would not close properly so anyone walking past could see into the room at all times. There was no way that we were going to stay in that room so we asked to move rooms, the response was the hotel was full apart from a room that they wanted an additional $50US per night for. We took that as we were travelling with friends.

The buffet restaurant, well i have eaten in dining rooms at Military Training Establishments during the 70's that had more ambience and better decor. The food was average at best and we only ate there on the first night preferring, despite half board, to get better quality food and service from the beach restaurants near by.

The staff around the pool seemed to lack motivation and ordering a beer was an evolution in itself, in fact it would have been quicker to go out to a local shop buy one and bring it back. The only ones who seemed to be helpful were the guys who set out the sun loungers and gave out the beach towels.

There is no way that i would recommend staying at this hotel.

Room Tip: There are no good rooms at this hotel.

Location of the hotel is great, directly on the beach. The pool is nice.

Staff is completely unmotivated. They only sell the rooms including half board - worst food in 2 weeks in Sri Lanka.
Worst thing is an extremly noisy night club next door. We paid 175 USD for a room, in which we could not sleep at night.
Left the hotel after one night.

Room Tip: The most expensive rooms are most affected by the noise at night.
