“Fantastic little apartment in a great spot”
Reviewed 21 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Two of us stayed here for a week at the end of June 2015, as part of a larger group which was spread out all around beautiful Lakka. The apartment is situated in a back lane. It's basic accommodation - for example the bathroom was perhaps a bit tired - but overall the apartment was spotlessly clean with everything we needed, and to be honest, with so many great restaurants around, there was no inclination to stay in and cook.
The bed linen and towels were changed halfway through our stay.
Air con was a (necessary) bonus, as was WiFi.

Three things really stand out:
1 - The owners. Mr Napoleon was waiting for me at the ferry terminal in Corfu, where he had booked the tickets, and he was really friendly and helpful. As was his wife, who we met in Lakka. In the apartment, the owners had thoughtfully left out a welcome pack which had olives, a bottle of olive oil and some handmade (yes, olive oil) soap.
There was only one problem with the apartment when we were there (a leaky sink in the bathroom); I pointed this out to the owners one morning, and when we arrived back that afternoon, it was fixed.

2 - The balcony. The apartment is on the first (and top) floor, above one similar. Up a short flight of steps, just at the front door, is a balcony/patio area with a table and chairs. It really is charming. There are pots of flowers all around, grape vines on a trellis, and from this modestly elevated position, there are views left and right to the hillsides to either side of the village. It felt private and was perfect for sitting in the sun, entertaining a few friends, or relaxing in the warm evening with a glass of wine.

3 - The location. There are plenty of other places to stay in the village, but this is near perfect. It takes about a minute (if even?) to walk to the harbour, and yet this is in a quiet laneway. Fair enough, it can be a wee bit noisy in the daytime, as mopeds from time to time use the lane as a thoroughfare, but from 7pm until the next morning, the route is closed to all traffic.

In summary: It's basic accommodation, but is perfect for what it is. The patio is great, and the location is fantastic. Every one of our party who came to visit was so taken with the place, that they said they wished they'd booked it. Would definitely stay here again.
