Arriving somewhat tired on the ferry at Gaios port, you will be welcomed by Eva with a huge broad smile that is guaranteed to light up the Ionian islands. Eva is the owner and real star at Villa Avgerini, who has the sole aim of ensuring that her guests have a simply wonderful holiday experience.
This is the second time that we have stayed in this accommodation, both times in the Upper Floor, 2 bed apartment, which has the added bonus of a second bathroom.
Viewed from the coastal road, Villa Avgerini is modern and impressive (3 apartments, plus a one bed maisonette), tiered into the hillside with a lovely shared pool and a colourful well tended planting scheme. From our experience, you rarely see the other guests.
Quality furnishings and bedding provides a high level of comfort. Plug in mossie repellants are provided, exemplifying the added touches that you can expect.
Easy 10 minute stroll into Gaios makes this a quiet and ideal location. Eva can supply you with bottled water, wine, beer and even early morning croissants if you wish.
Eva and her hard working maid work tirelessly in maintaining continuous high standards. Don't merely expect cleanliness, this accommodation is kept absolutely immaculate.
Not sure that you will need any further convincing, but non standard Greek plumbing will surely be the absolute clincher.
Eva will happily take care of all your ferry and taxi arrangements. For a twin centre holiday experience, we subsequently moved onto Loggos, where our son flew out to join us. Very kindly, Eva booked his ferry transfer plus a taxi to meet him at Gaios port. A great example of her helpfulness in going well beyond normal expectations.

Little beach/cove within 100m
Nice pool with loungers / parasols
A perfect base for a great family holiday on the beautiful island of Paxos.
Really nothing not to like!
Stayed at Villa Avgerini close to 2 weeks and had a great experience. From the moment you arrive Eva, who owns and manages the stay hands on ensures everything is perfect. We stayed on a first floor 2 bed apartment. Views are picture perfect . The sunrise is special across to the greek mainland. The balcony offers brilliant views seeing the comings and goings of all the boats into Gaios Bay and also of the wonderful shared pool. Spend a few hours sitting there in the cool shade or early evening sun sipping cold beer or ouzo pre dinner drooling the view. The accommodation was full for our stay and we rarely had to share the use of the pool. The little bay just below the Villa, literally, 2 minutes walk is lovely with crystal clear water and some shade, giving you the option to go from pool to sea in no time at all. The villa was cleaned/serviced everyday making it very nice to return at the end of each day from our outings! Thank you Eva/Team! This was our third stay in Paxos and was our favourite Villa. Will return.
Finally returned to Paxos following our first visit 10 years ago. Happy to say it feels pretty much unchanged and is still as lovely as ever. Villa Avgerini is only ten minutes walk from town (beautiful, levellish walk along road which follows coast but no pavement!), spotlessly clean and wonderfully spacious. The buildings, pool and grounds are immaculate, all with amazing views. We stayed in one of the two lower apartments which had a large patio area immediately in front with plenty of space for dining outside. Pool was wonderfully warm. Eva has done an amazing job in developing the villa and is an excellent host, lots of fun, always available and full of useful information. Her cleaning girl is also incredibly hard working and everything is cleaned daily to a very high standard. Gaios is lively but not spoilt and has a good choice of restaurants and bars. We especially liked Dodo's restaurant which is on the side of town closest to the villa and Marley's bar in the square. You don't really need a car staying here - there is a beautiful cove opposite and both Loggos and Lakka have gorgeous beaches and are accessible cheaply by bus. Eva can organise taxis for anywhere else (Erimitas bar/restaurant definitely worth a sunset visit). Thank you Eva - we had a brilliant time!
