It doesn't look much from the outside and on arrival the place was empty(never a good sign) however this was merely because Italians seem to dine later and we went on week nights.
The service was friendly, the ambience simple but tidy and the food AMAZING. Ignoring the fact you get a lot for your money (always good) the real winner was the taste. Often a large menu means only a few things are done well but it was quite the opposite here - so much so that we went back the next night and were even more impressed.
I would take a 30hr flight again just for this restaurant.
Best tip - don't ask for a translation. Be brave and you'll be amazed at what you have never tried but would wholeheartedly recomend.
I wish there was a La Gargotta in New Zealand
