Our first visit in 2018 to our favourite restaurant in the NW of Ireland began as we left it in November 2017: Great service by friendly and well briefed staff. Nice sourdough and a fantastic bean taster soup, courtesy of the chef Piero Melis. The early bird on a Sunday for €29.50 is extremely good value with a choice of no less than eight starters including three specials, six main courses and a medley of three desserts. We had crab and avocado, fig and ricotta starters, seared tuna and a seafood risotto with homemade chips and salad. We just love the presentation, the seasoning and the local provenance of the ingredients. Piero is consistently outstanding in his cooking and the staff is excellent! Highly recommended!
