We stayed for 2 nights in the cabin and had a great time.
When we arrived, the owner greeted us and showed us around. He gave us tips on things to see and do around the area which was really helpful. He left us 2 fresh 5 litre bottles of water and left a bottle of bubbly in the fridge which was a really nice touch.
The cabin itself comfortably fit 6 adults and was very well equipped with a coffee machine, BBQ , jacuzzi bath, plenty of board games, books and much more. Sitting out on the deck and listening to the silence was bliss!
Around the cabin has little to no signal which was great. We got away from Facebook and Snapchat for 2 nights and actually talked to each other which doesn't happen much these days. Giant Jena and trivial pursuit along with "several" drinks made for 2 great stress and social media free nights.
On the second day, we travelled a half hour away, across the border into county Fermanagh, to visit the Marble Arch caves. This is well worth a visit. On the way back from the caves, we visited Ballyconnell town (5km from the cabin) and had some lunch in the Anglers Rest which served some pretty nice food.
We had a fantastic time here we stayed 3 nights and we're sad to go. We have 2 children aged 2 and 4 they absolutely loved it. The cabin was spotless and equipped with everything and more than you would need for your stay. We are defiantly booking again for the summer months and we have friends already booked after telling them all about it.
Great spot! Very clean and has everything you need for a short break away! Was an added bonus that we could take the dogs with us! Only thing we struggled with was the lack of phone reception but survived! Would book again.
