Today I just paid Camellia my 4th visit. Again, Camellia surprised me with new desserts like she did in the previous 3 times. The scones were buttery and smelled so great. The waffles tasted crispy outside and chewing inside and the coulis and cream made waffles tasted better up to another level. All desserts were beautiful as well as delicious. Today we had lemon tart and vanilla mousse cake. The tart (pastry case) was crispy and the filling was citrusy with balanced acidity. The vanilla mousse had layers of flavors and tasted nutty and crunchy (the cake base) Camellia is truly any sweet tooth's paradise.
The hostess was very friendly and hospitable; we always got warm welcome and if she was not very busy she was very happy to chat with us about desserts and about dogs (Akita Inu) that her family raise. We always had a great time in Camellia.
oh, BTW, I found it is witty that the owner names her patisserie 'Camellia'. It is because that Camellia is located in Chung-Shan Leisure Agriculture Area (Tung-Shan Township, Yilan County, Taiwan), which is famous for tea plantations and nice quality of tea leaves.
