After a busy and hectic trip in the otherwise touristy places of Bali, I decided to spend a couple of days at de Sapphire, hoping that it could provide that peaceful relaxation to end my Bali vacation. Couldn't have asked for anything more relaxing!
Located in the cliffs of south Bali, this was an amazing place to unwind. The location, setting, ambience was extremely beautiful. Rooms were clean - our duplex cottage, had a fantastic view of the ocean and was just so peaceful. The double pool deserves a special mention and is just too inviting! One can spend hours lazing there or in the adjacent restaurant, all of which overlooks the blue seas.
The staff were super friendly and always willing to help with a smile. Special thanks to the Manager, Raj for catching up with us regularly, enquiring of our stay, helping us with our travel arrangements, local tips and regaling us with his stories from around the world. Food was excellent and though there were quite a few restaurants nearby, we preferred the in-house restaurant with its fantastic views and a relaxing atmosphere.
While we preferred a super relaxing stay, there were no dearths of places to check around. The popular Uluwatu temple is very close (10 mins drive approx) and we enjoyed a brilliant kecak dance performance at sunset (its a must do if you are here in this part of Bali). Also, there are lots of white sand - cerulean blue beaches (the string of pearls beaches of Pecatu as Lonely Planet puts it) very close by that needs a visit.
All in all, had a wonderful stay. Couldn't have asked for anything better except for a few more days to unwind. Keep it up!More
