I was staying by padang beach and came here to surf. It was a pretty generic peaky beach break. The market and surrounding cafes seemed to be of similar quality. Would not recommend.

Gorgeous beach with eating facilities. Great beach for surfing, not good for little kiddies though, big waves and rips.

I enjoyed the tidepools. Lots of things to see and photograph. A nice beach to sunbathe and the water is shallow and good for a dip.

As far as Bali beach standards go I'd say Dreamland is one of the better ones. It's not too busy or crowded and there are very few people trying to sell you items or massages. A friend and I spent a morning here and happily hired two sun loungers + umbrellas for AUD $20 (total) which included water. The view itself is quite stunning, as you have the cliff coastline to your left and turquoise water in front of you. There was bit of rubbish floating around which is pretty standard for the island. There were flags up prohibiting people from swimming due to the rough conditions (the waves are quite monstrous but there is also a sharp dip from the beach down to the water so you could easily be swept out). BEWARE: every 10-15 minutes there's a freak wave that will come right up as far as the sun loungers, so make sure none of your belongings are sitting on the sand as they'll get swept away (I saw one poor person lose both her shoes!)
