You have to negotiate a few steep steps to get into this restaurant but it is well worth it. You are greeted by friendly staff who are quick to give you a hand down the steps and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The meals were superb and the view over Kamala Beach is delightful.
There is a guitarist and singer on some nights playing stuff like Elvis and John Denver. Will also take requests if you like.
Apparently a family run business and on a couple of occasions the staff played with guest's children so fathers and mothers could enjoy their meals in peace. Not something you see often. Altogether a pleasant experience. Would recommend.

If you want a break from the racing around to settle yourself down then this is the way.

The food is spectacular, the views are stunning and calming. Use this as single meal or for the family and you will not have anything else you ask for.

At the restaurant they make every effort to get you a seat on the edge of the deck with views over the beach. It is a quiet and sheltered little spot, very romantic. Reasonable prices and a modest menu but all done very well. Live music on a couple of nights per week. As a family run restaurant they know how to look after you, providing small complimentary offerings on each of our visits (three in total). We were impressed with the hospitality, the food and the views.

The Bua overlooks Kamala Beach and its environs are cool and green. The best aspect, however, is the truly exceptional food. Starters and mains were all fabulous and desserts really hit the spot. The apple crumble is raised well above the level of humble to an exceptional dessert. It really is on a par with anywhere else on the island and the staff plate it up beautifully - presentation of the food is great. I am a resident of Phuket and The Bua has become my favourite restaurant.

The food here is really spectacular. I would highly recommend the crab cakes with orange sauce and coriander pesto. The spring rolls were also lovely featuring whole prawns. I had squids ink tagliatelle which was delicious. The desserts were sublime. I had Apple crumble with vanilla foam, ice cream and toasted merangue.

The location is also great, overlooking Kamala beach. It is a lovely place to watch the tide roll out. I would highly recommend eating here.
