“Sweet little cottage in pleasant location”
Reviewed 29 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Stanhope was a great place to stay on our trip to the Kynren Festival - great event, which deserves to be much better known about, on a par with the Edinburgh Tattoo. The cottage was beautifully clean and well-equipped, a bit snug for 6 when it came to using the facilities, but never ran out of hot water, despite us all showering every morning. The village is well located for lots of other attractions too, and we'd definitely recommend both the area and Dales Cottage as a great place to stay.

“Perfect to relax in the country”
Reviewed 18 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Spacious and very clean house, nicely renovated. Great shower and bathroom. I did not like the plastic covers on the chairs in the kitchen, for 6 people there would not be enough crockery, mattress could be a bit more comfortable. Tea, coffees, milk sugar and biscuits as nice welcome

“Lovely dog friendly home”
Reviewed 16 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Great location just off the main street, Lynn the owner is very responsive to e-mails & texts.
Photos don't do the place justice, its a gorgeous place, very homely and comfortable, only stayed for 2 nights and wish it was longer.
Stanhope is great for walks and just chilling out.
I would highly recommend staying here and we will be back in the not too distant future.
