It has been about two years since our last visit. We don't live in the UK. We were delighted to find it still as good as the last time. We found the staff very helpful as we are not too familiar with the food. The nan was super. It truly is a great find, I hope lots more people try it out.

An impromptu visit to the Elaichi last Wednesday evening resulted in one of the most enjoyable evenings we have had at a restaurant in a very long time. We were warmly greeted on arrival, the food was delicious, the house wine was very good, the service was very efficient, but the evening was made so special by the interaction we had with the owner and staff. We were treated like friends and shared some lovely memories of places we had lived previously. We would thoroughly recommend this very friendly restaurant and will definitely be returning soon. So looking forward to our next visit.

We had a takeaway from Elaichi whilst on holiday in the area. My curry was very greasy and overwhelmed by cumin seeds, making this the only flavour and lacking the subtle spicing of good Indian cooking. Most of the family’s dishes were greasy with only a stuffed paratha getting the thumbs up from us.
