Our family party of 6 adults rented a three bedroom cottage (#9) at this lovely location on Oxtongue Lake from Jan. 5th to 9th for four nights. Serene, peaceful, comfy, quiet, and very cozy. Best: very affordable. This unit has two excellent bathrooms, one with a shower and the other a bath, located to match the needs of the three bedrooms, whose beds were very comfy.

This has become our annual get-away-from-it-all event, where we can chill out, enjoy each others' company, renew bonds, have fun - whether it involves xc-skiing, skating, tobogganing, cooking tasty meals, having some beer and wine amidst live music and great treats, or just collaborating on the Globe & Mail annual crossword.

We stayed last year just down the road at Blue Spruce resort which we couldn't get for this year. And then Cloverleaf entered our lives. Owner, Shelley Cousintine, was ever so friendly, gracious, prompt with her replies, and very accomodating. The cottage was super clean, well equipped with every utensil for every cuisinary creation, and well set up amidst tall white pines, cedars and birches, humming with jays, waxwings, chickadees, and many more. The snow depths were more than enough and the lake ice thick enough for our winter sports.

We slept and ate well, lazed about on a couple of days when the temperatures dropped below - 30 C, and drove out to the Fen Lake trails in Algonquin Park, a mere 10 km away to ski to our hearts' content. Our family bonded as never before thanks to the lovely setting. Fortunately our unit was the only one open, so we had the resort area to ourselves. Giving them an A++++

Room tip: Feel very lucky if you can get cottage #9, or perhaps any of the others for that matter.

We have just had a lovely 3 nights at Cloverleaf cottages. Cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great for children. Our son enjoyed the on site play park and pedals. Location superb.

We stayed in a two bed cottage on the lakefront. Well worth getting one on the lake for the beautiful views. The cabin is well equipped with large fridge and freezer, pots, microwave, bbq, all that you would need. The rooms are small but functional.
There is plenty of kayaks and canoes which are free to use which is a real bonus on such a beautiful lake.
There is a small convenience store on site.
There can be lots of bugs so bring spray.
Overall I loved this place and would gladly go back. It’s good value and very relaxing.

On our tour of Ontario we only had chance to stay here for 2 nights but we wish we could've stayed longer.

The owners are really friendly and gave us some tips for our stay in the area. The cottages are clean and well-stocked with utensils and plates etc.

The location is beautiful. The cottages look out onto the lake via a grassy area complete with firepits and a sandy beach.

There's no shortage of things to do either. The canoes, kayaks and paddle boats are all free and there are plenty to choose from. Life jackets are also supplied by the owners. Outside the camp area there are a few treks and areas to explore such as Ragged Falls just a short drive away.

Our stay was in September and the temperature was getting a little cooler; however, we were still able to make the most of the kayaks during the day.
