In a large veranda, we can serve between 2 and 50 seats on large tables with traditional gingham tablecloths. As part of a group of ten our Mauritian guide had booked us in here for lunch. The restaurant and setting were a complete and very pleasant surprise as the way there was through a sugar cane plantation and our destination was in a lovely verdant garden. We had a very warm welcome by the lady proprietor, which included a welcome drink for us. The food was traditional Creole and there were a large number of dishes to try; the dishes were described to us and it was explained how they worked together in a meal and we thoroughly enjoyed the various flavours. The meal was rounded off by a selection of deserts. On another note - the toilets are well worth a visit and the decor was quite a surprise. If you get the chance - do go; you may need to check whether booking is necessary.

Perfect little Lakaz to immerse in the Mauritian culture. The service and warm friendly hospitality was first class. I could not have ask for better care and attention. Highly recommended as a way to experience Mauritius' Creole culture and cuisine. Loved the taste and explanations. The food was amazing, the decor and gardens were authentic and natural.
