This is a lovely comfortable hotel in a really characterful small old town. Our room had stunning views over the country side with a small terrace for an evening drink. The restaurant matched the quality of hotel with a lovely outdoor terrace. Only 10 mins from the motorway

I've recently stayed there for a few days, it's a very cute simple small hotel in a very charming tiny village. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful, the bedrooms are all quite different (my friends were also staying there so I say a few rooms), Mine was nice and clean and very functional (room number 6). The breakfast is excellent and all sourced locally. Why not 5 stars? Because it's a bit run down, the bedrooms could use a fresh coat of paint. But for the price, I didn't think it was a problem Also depending on where you are the noise travels a bit but it's all very quite at night.

Room tip: all bedrooms are described on the website, try to see if you can get one of the one with terrace

We stayed over for a long week end, this is a very nice place. The room we had had a very nice view and was spacious enough. We liked the small balcony and the large bathroom. We booked half board and the restaurant was quite nice, although a bit pricey for the area. Overall we had a good stay, the only downside was on the day we left, the waitress taking care of breakfast was running behind and was making a show of it, not very pleasant, even borderline rude. Other than that we would recommend this place. Beware the village is tiny -but pretty- so the level of activity is limited

We had lunch at this restaurant in this hotel in Cliousclat where we wanted to look at some poteries. We chose the menu of the day. It started with a nice mix of couliflower and Brussels sprouts as entre. As the main course we had veal with ravioles in a chives sauce. Both dishes tasted very good and we found the meal excellent and not too heavy to give us the possibility in the afternoon to find out what the village was like.

We stayed just one night at La Treille Muscate for the first stop of our mini-moon trip. We had chosen room number 8 specifically because it had a private terrace. After a walk around the tiny but beautiful village of Cliousclat we asked whether we could order some drinks to have outside on our terrace while we watched the sun go down and relax - champagne and a pression went down very well! We had already booked a table at the hotel's restaurant in the courtyard at the time of booking the room - good thing we did as it was full! The menu at the restaurant was very good value and I was able to swap the dessert course for cheese without a problem. I had langoustine to start with followed by a great portion of monkfish. My husband had a millefeuille of vegetables followed by Iberico pork and a chocolate dessert. A great location in a cute courtyard - watch out for the bugs though! Some reviewers have commented about the power station in the view from the courtyard but it didn't bother us and we couldn't see it from our private terrace. Hotel owners and team were incredibly friendly.
