We stayed in their superior room which is up on the first floor with a balcony. The room is spacious with a king bed and a large bathroom. Lovely pool with plenty of lounges and sun. No grass area if this is something people want. A quiet hotel but walking distance to the centre of the Seminyak shops and restaurants. They also have a free shuttle that will take you to different areas at set times.
This resort is in two parts with a Hotel and a Villa. This review is for the Hotel.
Arrived to find that only a two single bed room was not available despite having made the booking 6 months earlier. This is a common theme if you read other reviews. The room was small and although the photos are genuine in its listing its clear that they were taken a number of years ago as the room was ''tired''. Next day paid a small premium for a much larger room on the ground floor near the pool.
The rooms don't have safes so you have to leave your valuables in the designated room near reception. This isn't always convenient but the security boxes are of a much higher grade than the standard Hotel safe. One issue with the room was the lack of a table if you want to work on your laptop. Surprisingly the beds were probably the most comfortable we have encountered and even better than some top quality Hotels costing significantly more.
The staff were always very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was reasonable but reflected the budget nature of the Hotel.
The wi-fi was fast and reliable.
The pool was well kept with clear water and had a hint of residual chlorine which is good. The layout and design of the pool is excellent but none of the sunbeds had any shade. Not everybody wants to bake in the sun after swimming or when reading a book.
The Resort is close to the shops and eateries and surprisingly close to the beach. A big downside is the road adjacent to the Resort is narrow and is very busy with no footpath on either side. Really dangerous and not really suitable for walking along with young children and/or with a pushchair.
Overall, the Hotel proved to be good value given the price we paid. A tip would be to pay a little extra and book a room on the ground floor near the pool.
We love our stays at Mutiara its location and facilities are wonderful, the staff are very friendly and always helpful..Its our favourite place to stay in Seminyak. The pool area is amazing and the rooms are really spacious. The spa ladies are really good and well worth the experience...
First trip to Bali with 6 of my friends. Stayed at Mutiara Bali Boutique Villa & Resort in a 4 bedroom villa. The villa was spacious, we had our own pool and each room had it’s own bathroom. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. Great location, walking distance to shops and beach. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Bali
Just got back from our second stay at these villas this time in a two bedroom premium villas as we stayed with another couple. As before the villas was amazing. A lot of villas in Bali are getting tired and need maintenance but Mutiara is always up to standard. Have your own pool is fantastic and it’s a great size. The only thing that lets these Villas down is the breakfast, it’s not quite up to scratch. However, if it’s included in the price you can make do most days and then go out a couple. I have been to Bali about 5 times now and these are the villas for me. Location can’t be beaten, right smack in the middle of Seminyak but so quiet and private.
