Salim alwahibi tour guide

Unfortunately trip advisor doesnt allow me to give 6 stars or I would and to be honest he deserves it a very honest person that was nothing short of kind and honest 10/10 going on a trip with salim alwahiba was what really made this trip worth the while and I will definitely be going again in the nearby time

Stunning desert sands

Wahiba sands is a stunning desert with rolling hills and rippled waves of sand. I took a photography tour out to this picturesque desert and came away with stunning photos. It's about a 2+ hour drive out of Muscat, but if you have the time it is worth it.

Desert, silence and nothing else

Some bedouins in the beginning of the desert, but then only sand mountains and ... silence. Unique location, not to miss when you are traveling in Oman

How to get to desert without 4wd

We have regular car and didnt feel like staying in one of the desert camps. Local guy showed us what is the direction towards dunes. We parked at their edge (there is road ok for normal car) and walked to sand dunes which are right there. Great place!

Absolutely stunning and a must visit

I visited as a participant of the Oman Desert Marathon, which is a multi day event through the desert. It is absolutely spectacular. Enormous sandy dunes in every direction. It looks sparse and monotone sand until you look closer and see the tracks of reptiles, the plants and flowers. Visit in the morning or evening to avoid the midday heat.
