Visiting Oman’s Wahiba Sands for a day and by 4x4 probably means only skating the surface of the desert and its Bedouin culture. This 2-day private camel trek from Bediyah lets you delve deeper into the Wahiba and its associated Bedouin lifestyles, for an immersive experience. Ride a camel across the dunes, meet Bedouin tribes, and enjoy the sunset, night, and sunrise at a tented camp with meals included.

Excellent experience crossing the Wahiba Sands with our local Bedouin guide, Salam Al Wahibi. He speaks both English and Arabic, is very amusing and fun to be with. Amazing time traveling with him and very much recommended for desert tours. +968 9903 3116

Wahiba Sands are a must to see in Oman. A real desert at only 2 hours from Muscat and 1 hour from Sur.
Go there if you want truly understand the life of local beduins, meet the camels and watch amazing sunsets on top of the yellow/orange soft dunes.
You can pitch your tent or stay in one of the numerous fixed camp.
Avoid to go in the desert in June and July, the weather is really hot!

First, it is best to be toured by a local Omani! It was my first time to experience sand dune bashing and it was totally worthwhile! What I regret not doing was going on top of the sand dunes and watch the sunset, so if you're ever given the opportunity to do so, do not miss it! You may also get dizzy and all, so just bring an extra plastic bag and medicine.
