Harrison's cave was a fantastic trip as a family of five. Everything was natural and fun to look at. The walls of the caves were gushing with the Atlantic ocean water and we could feel the sprinkles from it when we stood on top of the cave. Inside the cave was natural fossilised stones and unique flowers. We were allowed to swim in the natural water that came through the gaps of the cave.

The cost was $30 for adults and $15 kids. The tour wasn’t too long. I don’t consider this a must see thing. If you’re into caves you might enjoy more. The location was a long drive from Bridgetown but not too long. There are a few souvenir shops there. You might get a little wet on the tour.

We visited the caves although we were told it’s very commercial. It is but it’s good. You start the tour travelling in glass elevators to the bottom the gulley and then into an exhibition room to learn about how the island of barbados was formed. Then it into Disney style train to drive into the depth of the caves. Lots of informative information and stalactites and stalagmites. The tour takes about an hour and for $60bd each it worth a visit.

The showcave was pretty cool. You ride in a Disney-like open train thing down into the depths and then back up. You can see all the stalactites and stalagmites up close. There's a very nice lady narrating the trip who explains how the original explorers managed to uncover all this stuff.

This was a cool tour especially for those who love science and nature. Seeing the formations is amazing and hearing the history of how they were discovered and formed is so mesmerizing. If you are afraid of the dark, water dripping on your face and enclosed spaces, this is not the tour for you. The film at the opening of the tour is especially informative explaining how the island of Barbados was formed. We took the tram and it's not a long tour at all so it's not a full day. You can definitely plan other activities on the same day.
