Super cute 3 story treetop condo. We have really enjoyed our stay so far! Staff was friendly and helpful. It was just the two of us, but we could have brought all 4 kids and still had extra space. We will be back in the summer for sure!

We just returned from a week long timeshare/Interval Intl. exchange. We had a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo in one of the apartment-like buildings. Our condo was very nice (decor is dated, we consider it 1980's vintage decor with floral drapes, valances, floral bedspreads, artificial plants in pinks and greens, and knotty pine cabinetry. Quite nostalgic and really didn't bother us) The unit is large (est. 1500 sq.ft) with large living area, huge master with a large sunken tub, and a balcony? Our unit (#162) was only 7 stair- steps from the parking lot to our front door. For folks with mobility issues this would be a good location. The condo was very clean, had a well stocked kitchen, workable kitchen with newer appliances and a full size washer and dryer. In reading other reviews those complaining about the notebook of rules must not do exchanges very often. This is the norm we've run into and the book is very handy for directions, restaurant suggestions, TV guidance, maps, appliance instructions.
Management was thorough, expedient check-in procedure, ample parking, well kept grounds. We'd go back.

My wife and I want to get away for a few days, so went to The Lake of the Ozark. We were able to trade a week of our time and got one of the Villas.
The place was very & well kept. These are not new but are clean and up to date. The one we got had 3 bedrooms & slept 8. So we had lots of room.
We plan to go down again and will get a vila as well. It is close to everything.

This time we have a 3-bedroom. The layout of the building looks a little strange at first. The 3 bedrooms are all on different levels. The upstairs has a queen size bed and a toilet. No shower or TV. From the parking lot, one enters the mid level where the main part of the house is. That is, kitchen, master bedroom and TV area plus an extra area with a couch. The last room is in the basement which has an outside patio, with a table and 4 chairs. It also has a toilet plus shower. There is also a washer/dryer. This unit is suitable for people who can climb stairs. The staircase leading to the basement, has no railings. We are in unit 111. We cannot see the lake because of the trees. From my photograph of the units, you can find out whether you are lakefront or not. All in all, it is very peaceful here. The tourist attractions are not very far away.

before leaving for our trip I had read many of the poor reviews and was a little apprehensive. But upon arrival we were very pleasantly surprised. The "book of rules" many talk about was a single page of common-sense policies. Our cottage was clean, reasonably up-to-date and well-stocked. My sonly real suggestion is to place a TV in each sleeping space. There were only 2 TV's, one in the main living space and one in the master bedroom. The downstairs bedroom and the loft had no TV, nor did the sleeping area off the living room with the pull-out sofa. Absolutely no other negative comments about the cottage. The decks had great views of the lake and surrounding woods. One morning there were a pair of whitetail deer no more than 30 yards from our cottage just lounging in the shade. We do some camping and it was almost like camping in luxury. We liked it very much. The office staff was very polite and efficient in our limited contact, but we didn't need much. All of the outdoor pools were clean and in great shape. My youngest son had a blast! For those bringing a boat, the availability of covered slips is not good. I called about 10 days before we left and inquired and was told they only have two covered slips available and they were already rented for our week. They did have plenty of space in their uncovered docks, though and since it didn't rain the entire time until Thursday night (we were checking out on Fri, so we trailered the boat Thursday evening) that wasn't an issue. The lack of a ramp to launch your boat was disappointing. Guests at Treetops have access to the boat ramp at the Lodge of the Four Seasons literally right next door, but there is a $20 fee to use it to put your boat in, and another $20 fee to use it to take your boat out. If we had had a rainy day and needed to trailer the boat to cover it, it would have cost me $40. The alternative is to use the ramp at Shawnee Bend Access. It's almost directly across the lake from Treetops, but by car it's about a twenty minute drive and there is at least a $4.50 toll both ways to use the community bridge. So they could definitely improve the situation for boaters by having additional covered slips for rent and free access to a ramp. Overall, we had agreat experience and would definitely return to this property.

Thank you for your review.
I am glad you had seen the reviews but still gave us a try and had a good time.
Sorry about the boat launch situation. Ameren does have a lot of control on what is added in reference to boat launches and docks since they own so much of the land around the lake.
Hope to see you again.
