What a lovely piece of history.
Interesting site by the river and a further walk to the mill.
Be prepared to walk…lots…but it’s worth it. The mill is interesting but the star is the castle.
Ruins that have been tidied up beautifully and som3 stunning countryside and river views from a variety of angles as well as a lot of historical stories and information.
Entrance fee was also fairly reasonable.
Really highly recommended for a couple of hours while you’re in the Tenby area, we were also lucky to visit on a sunny day which made the photos spectacular.

Just a breathtaking vista when you arrive and see the castle set against the water. Really enjoyed exploring all the nooks and crannies and a lovely walk around the water as well. The tidal mill was decked out for halloween and was fun!

Parking in the main car park was a bit of a nightmare but loads of space in the over flow.

Experience in onsite cafe wasnt the best/ felt rushed to order, but food was nice.

Great value morning out with the family.

Beautiful setting. A great place for a family visit. The castle itself is great with a family trail to engage the children.
We visited in October half term and there was an additional activity which was broomstick obstacle course. Both the girls loved this.
Do walk down the lane and visit the mill, which is included in the entry cost. For half term it was decorated as a spooky mill. Fantastic job whoever was involved in creating this. We all loved it, although Mum was rather scared!
Definitely 10/10 for us!

Really nice day out. Lots to see and easy walking with the dog. Also had a good tea room with excellent outdoor seating. The cakes were great.

We had a fabulous day at the castle ruins.
It’s a beautiful place steeped in history. All the staff were friendly and informative.
The website audio commentary throughout the ruins was excellent. There were quite a lot of steps to climb but so worth it to discover yet more historic rooms. It was easy to visualise how the castle may have looked hundreds of years ago. If you’re interested in history this castle is well worth a visit.
A mile down the road is the Tidal Mill, also worth a visit. The view from the Mill back to the castle is stunning, especially if you’re into photography.
The Mill itself was fascinating & you can buy the milled flour from the onsite shop.
The ticket to the castle included entrance to the Mill. Very good value for money.
